Alright, here’s the threads on Havoc thus far:
Please FS make the havok mode available on quickplay. Your party finder crap just doesn’t work. Error 9999 is the only result when i try to assemble a group.
You guys are… What can i say? You learnt nothing from the weaves failure back on V2…
no quickplay, no map selection, no modifier/mutator selection, non hosts take a week to progress, areas that drop to 20fps for seemingly no reason
everyone who plays this mode is either playing in a premade and grinding all the low level missions that are way too easy for “auric level operatives” and shouldnt be in the mode, or they are trying to play using the party finder and putting up with playing with randoms who dont know their left from their right. i dont even think anything above havoc…
Yet another ball drop by Fatshark. It sounded all good on paper then we find out the only person who progresses rank is the one who starts the mission. That means in order to progress toward level 40 Havoc for FOUR different people, a minimum of 160 havoc missions is required in order for your entire party to be on the same page and at level 40. Why wouldn’t everyone rank up normally?
Edit: Apparently everyone gets experience but only the party leader who starts the mission ranks up instant…
Heyo!
Firstly:
I do not want to be negative, but Havoc hasn’t been particularly engaging so far, and the party finder—which we were aware of would be a part of Havoc—is what it is.
Sayin that; I understand that this is a very personal perspective, but if this is what Havoc turned out to be, I think it may have been the wrong thing to focus development time and effort on.’
It’s the same game we’ve been playing now for a year with some added modifiers.
I hoped that we would get some changes h…
Havoc is a complete disaster and doesn’t make any sense.
Why do players have to complete lower difficulty missions (Malice/Heresy) in the ENDGAME MODE? What’s the point of the first 20 Havoc Ranks if they are easier than Auric Maelstrom the completion of which is required to play Havoc?
Why does only the player who starts a mission get ranked up while others should wait for a week? What’s the point of this?
Crafting materials rewards are also weekly. What is this obsession with the weekly stuf…
The most salient points:
FOR THE LOVE OF THE EMPEROR DON’T GATE IMMEDIATE PROGRESSION TO ONLY THE HOST
Party Finder is garbage and overcomplicated, ensuring this will be a dead mode the second everyone gets tired of it, just like the Twins mission, because as it turns out, trying to gate anything behind a new board just gets it ignored when the novelty wears off.
RNG missions are also terrible. Why.
As this is a brand new thing, it is not a ‘long-running issue’, but it is big enough to deserve its own section. Accordingly, I have started a new section in the first part of the Book.
