Hey peeps, just want to get your ideas on what you think will be in the 2nd big update, we have had the ogyrn change which is lovely , so what about the next update, I’m hoping and I keep hoping that they add customised bots, I don’t mind that I have to play with another person to make the game private but I would love to add some ogrys as bots with there full skill tree and weapons. But I doubt this will happen so Im hoping they either rework another class possibly the vet and add weapons or they add another boss in, what do you guys think?
I hope Solo game mode…
Maybe we should list our dream updates?
- Zealot Revamp + Solo Mode w/ bots/servitor pass +Tease 1st Dark Mechanicus map +Dark Servitor Enemies
- Veteran Revamp + Ad Mech Class Launch +Dark Mechanicus boss map
- Psyker Revamp + Genestalker Expansion
…next year the biggest balance pass EVER
No way… this is Fatshark. Expect a minor balance patch… bare minimum.
But I don’t care if they deliver the solo game mode. Balance is so broken that I doubt they can fix it honestly. They have let things gone too far.
I want a new class like a mechanicus class or a new enemy faction such as genestealers.
I can’t really see myself returning to this game in any real way unless that happens.
The other stuff we have had is nice, but ultimately it changes little, it’s pretty surface level stuff, number changes, a weapon or two. I don’t think it really grabs people and gets them excited as much as it did since this game has been out for a while now.
We already had one of them, Mortis Trials, and that should cause you to temper your expectations a bit. Expect that level of effort and cohesion
Pretty much. I hope that @FatsharkStrawHat can prove me wrong with any of the remaining updates but I doubt it. So far I’d expect them to be more or less the same minimum viable product style delivery as usual. Nothing indicates otherwise rn
the veteran weapon update, where they get the weapon that was coming soon 6 months ago. outside of that I literally expect nothing.
The last 3 quarterly updates have quite meaty. Not on par with the class overhaul (which was obviously in the works since launch), but still quite substantial and quite a bit more involved than some of the quarterly updates we’ve seen. And the current event is also the most complex we’ve gotten (new enemy, minigame, secondary objective, and audio lore).
Feels like things are ramping up! Which makes sense because a lot of the kinks have been worked out over time.
I’m hopeful for solo mode and better bots, but also looking forward to more of everything. More missions, more modifiers, more penances, more mechanics!
I hope you’re right.
I believe also… cause they have finally ported the game to any console (except the Nintendo Switch 2). So they may have now the resources… except if they launch a new game.
And also why I insist now on solo that they promised… nothing should oppose now to the delivery of this feature that has been so long delayed.
-
single player mode, as well as ability to set parties with less than 4 players and a set number of bots.
just think of the speedrun strategies people will come up with. that’s what gave classic shooters their longevity. -
add a skill 6 / 7 to the mission board. best if with the option to select what map and mods we want to play.
-
rework zealot’s tree like they did with ogryn’s so there’s a real choice of skills. especially get rid of loner, make stealth a harder to see blur, not turn enemies off.
-
same for vet
-
psyker: make smite something else than stand there and hold a button, it’s my biggest gripe regarding abilities of all classes
-
maybe lump 3+4+5 into one and add more missions, enemies etc.
Gigacope
I play the game like every day. They could just release a new map, modifier and weapon every quarter and I’d probably be plenty happy.
Sorry you’re not!
I’d wish for a massive balance patch followed by regular care in order to reverse possible mistakes instead of moving on another game modes then let things rot for ages…
I saw what you wrote. That was a shameful response. Who liked that post?
Bah it’s just DramaTide. Ignore it!
There’s a lot of stuff, but I would really like to see a rework of the mission difficulties at some point, and merge havoc into the regular mission board. Players should be able to quickplay 10 Heresy’s in a row and they should be roughly the same difficulty. Not Surprise, Low-Intensity Engagement Zone sleeper, or Holy Poop I just wanted to chill and it’s a Hi-Intensity Shock Troop Gauntlet….
I would like to see the missions be generated in a more algorithmic way. More like building a CR7 encounter in DND, or more appropriate here a 1500 point chaos space marine army in 40k…
So if the mission is going to have be a Hi-Intensity Shock Troop Gauntlet, then it’s going to have spawn rates more like 1 difficulty lower, or have additional pickups for the players to balance it out.
If we can get the basics of the system working, it should be much easier to create higher difficulties, and add new modifiers.
