We were promised a proper solo mode for this game but years went by without any mention of it. I would not have bought it under these circumstances. I don’t even necessarily need bots but i want to have some way to play solo. I really enjoyed Vermintide but i always despised to play with randoms. I demand to get an update on this topic after years of waiting on a promised feature.

Hi Pagliacci, regrettably, this isn’t a priority for Fatshark at the moment.
I understand there are other areas we want to improve upon before development on solo mode resumes.
Good to see a response on this, implying it hasn’t been abandoned yet.
Is there no way to amend the private game requirement for must having 2 players to start a lobby, just as a stop-gap?

The “read between the lines” response is “we’re not working on it anymore, don’t get your hopes up.” Fortunately for them, my hopes haven’t been up since January 2023 when it had been over a month since release and solo mode still wasn’t in the game.

Unfortunately I’m inclined to agree with you. Despite my ‘optimistic’ leaning response, it was more of a hopeful grasp than anything else.
At this rate I’d take just changing private lobby requirements from 2 players to only 1.
This would be a very nice feature - especially on xbox, because we actually have to pay money to play the game at all.
In addition, the population is sometimes not really high.
can we MAKE it a priority? it was a pre released promised feature and only reason i still have game is waiting for this INDUSTRY standard feature to be added!
if i had known was no support for a basic function i would have refunded my steam copy already. game is totally unplayable without this!
in todays day and age with genre and fact the devs have this in 2 prior games its totally unacceptable not to include such core mechanic; makes you wonder what devs have been doing with game for last few years if not working on the core engine.
