To preface this, I am a console player, I don’t have access to bandaid mods and I am not willing to fork over an additional sum of cash just to be able to play with people who I actively dislike and so I have made an F.S account solely to ask this question:
So, Fatshark, how has it taken you this long to make a Solo Mode? Why is it that your predecessor and flagship title, Vermintide, was able to make a functioning and fun offline mode? Why is it that newer games like Space Marine 2 are able to launch with solo mode built into their game from day one while your newest game is still lacking this promised feature?
That it has currently been two consecutive years of almost-radio-silence on the status of a feature that was “Functional, but needed more time” is frankly a shameful display and shows the company’s inability to communicate with the customers and the players who have been waiting for this feature for the entire lifespan of the product.
We want answers, we want a definitive response on whether this feature is going to implemented or not, and if not, then why
Becauss otherwise I fail to see the reason why Darktide is seemingly incapable of implementing a Solo/Offline mode when its predecessor was able to do so, unless there was a financial gain to be had through witholding the feature, the game physically cannot be modified to incorporate this feature or the executives are truly incompetent and banking on an always-online game in the hopes of chasing the live-service dragon.
I will not be playing a game that has a fixed life expectancy and could be shut down at any moment because the shareholders demanded it, and it’s for this reason that I’m not coming back to Darktide.
Do better, Fatshark, let this damned question be dignified with a clean and concise answer already.
