it wouldn’t even take longer that 5 minutes, it was promised, it’s just changing a 2 player requirement to a 1 player requirement, which is literally just changing it from “Players Requred: 2” to “Players Requred: 1” which, i don’t know about you, but i find that to be a pretty simple thing to do after making your players wait for about a year and a half for something you promised before the game was fully released.
i know that there are people who are dumb enough to say that you don’t need solo mode in a game like this, to that, i say this. every horde shooter that ISN’T darktide has a solo mode and in many cases, these can be played without forcing people to be online.
some examples of horde shooters with solo modes are: the left for dead games, the helldivers games, the payday games, every CoD Zombies mode, the killing floor games.
there will also be people to say to just use mods to play solo mode. my response is that console players can’t do that, nor should people have to go out of their way to learn how to mod darktide because fatshark decided that they wanted go back on what they said would be in the game.
there might be some people stupid enough to say that nobody would play it. i will say now that i and many others would play it, along with many people would come out of the woodwork to play darktide because there are people who want to play, but there’s also people who just don’t want to deal with people at all, so they don’t get the game, in spite of the interesting game.
by Swedish Law, the lack of the promised feature does constitute as breach of contract and thus the player base can in fact form a class action lawsuit that i am willing to be a part of.
