I’m not a vermintide 2 player, so I’d like to know, after the updates we got, when should we expect new content to drop? I know, it’s speculation, I’d just like to know from who’s used to fatshark’s releases. It took quite a while to get the last 3 missions, are we going to wait long before we see something new? Not only related to missions, but in general. Since now we have the “full game”, do you guys think we’ll get more stuff “soon”? How long did it take to release expansions, new content, etc, in vermintide 2?

We probably won’t hear anything until middle January.
There was the great molasses flood, so yes, its moving entirely too fast.
That said, there was also that big rework.
I’m not prone to senseless optimism, but if I was, I’d say, 2 new maps and a small content/balance patch every quarter is viable.
So, probably 3 a year. Not yet sure which year.
3-6 month, for a mappack with 2-3 maps as a baseline, 3/4 a year for new careers (sub hero category)
and new gamemodes totally randomly out of the blue.

I assume some easy cosmetics update is on the table when they come back like last year. The amount of armors linked to the commissary and not vestures piled up like crazy.

Hopefully a crafting/gear progression overhaul Is priority 1 for the next update. Emperor knows the game desperately needs it going forward.
Hopefully after that actually new weapons are not long after. New heavy weapons like an auto cannon for ogyrn or hotshots for vet would be very appreciated.

The new skills, blitz and abilities need penances tied to them
It’s been 8+ months since we’ve seen new penance anything beyond kill new boss and the commissary has up and been abandoned. Fatshark really need to get it together on that front. It really poor form to add features especially an entirely new store to the game to then do nothing with it for almost a year.
this is what we should be getting but probable not, the want lists.
Give us a New class you got about 2 Classes option and about 5 Arc types.
you got skitarrii and Adeptus Mechanicus adept as 2 seperate classes as a combined, 3 archtypes.
as for archtypes:
Veteran:
veteran Gunner/Scion: with Ultiamte weaponary (Heavystubber, Hotshot vollygun)
Veteran Medic one could argue that it could be a Zealot’s roll.
Veteran Grenadier take those grenades and expand on it, a Bottom Perk that allows you to choose another grenade.
Zealot:
Zealot Medic/Support
Zealot ArcoFlagllent/Damage dealer/Horde
Zealot Crusader: Horde/tank
Zealot: Leash master (since the Adeptus arbities doesn’t really have a role) dog as a Combat ability or ultimate.
Ogyrn:
Battle Servitor allows for heavier weapon then what could normally be mounted by an ogyrn or a guardsman.
psyker:
new psychic Displaines: Telepathy, Mechanicus, Vortex of Doom, warp speed iron arm. allowing us to choose more then a single Power Would be Nice, a set of stand alone powers to the side of the tree. choose 3 each of them should gain benefits from the skill tree so your not limiting your self to one Power. the staffs themselves aren’t really powers but are just standard weapons.
Daemon Hosts (if inquisitor is radical), with an ultimate to switch to normal.
new missions: and forms of missions:
since this is 40k one can set it in the space station’s or orbital habitats of the planet. also new Hive city. a Typically hive world has between 3 or more hive cities. some have only one. some missions types such as Breach head were you take on a enemy Ship or try and block it with more then one team such as 12 members with 3 teams of 4 one team has to complete the mission but life get harder if a team doesn’t complete theirs.
Retrieve VIP, Retrieve Citizens, rescue prisoners. there meant to be imperial citizens who are alive and uncorrupted or even PDF who are still running resistance cells we should have missions,
Vehicle should be a Game-mode or a mission where you got a Transport that you have to defend while transporting your team across the waste land, if the Vehicle is destroyed it ends the mission or a different Mission takes place. with aircrafts and AFVs/Tanks.

- New weapon packs, both Tool of War (New Variants) but also new outright weapons
- New Missions in the current sector + 1 or 2 sectors
- New enemies in the current factions
- New branches for the current archetypes (Starting in 2025 but not being all present at that time yet)
→ Veteran Commissar and Stormtrooper
→ Zealot Enforcer and Crusader
→ Psyker Biomancer and Telepath
→ Ogryn Pit fighter and Overboss
Long term:
- New Factions (Ideally I would pick other Chaos Cults)
- New Archetypes (Tech Reject)
I don’t think Darktide is a game where we should be controlling a vehicle, and fighting on top of a vehicle could only work if it’s a very big one, like a train.
agree with all but would say that vechiles would add a new perspective of gameplay that FS could actually develope further i would like them to experiment with it after they make the game nearly fisnhied adn add a Stormtrooper archtype along with Scoped Ryza Hotshot lasgun for the Veteran.
But is it worthwhile to develop that ? Like Tide games don’t need vehicle, Pay Day 2 didn’t need it but it made sense and let them do a new type of Heist (Vehicle heist), here there not really sensible to do.
As for Stormtrooper I don’t think they need an Archetype for it, just make it a branch for Vet (left side), with Volleygun or Hellgun as the ability and Rad grenades as Blitz

Oh, well officially it’s the other way around (Archetype: Veteran; Zealot; Psyker; Ogryn; Tech Adept…; The tree segments are called Domains)
So taking that in mind:
So 2 archtype with 3 branches each, that’s very doubtfull, and Skitarii should simply be part of the Tech Adept (For weapons and abilities).
- Scion: Good idea, though Scions (And Karskin) are specific to certain origin, Stormtrooper would be enough as a name.
- Medic: There is no need of a healer centred branch, neither on Veteran nor on Zealot
- Grenadier: Instead of letting you chose a grenade from the current set, I think it would be simpler to make it a Breacher and give it Melta Charges as ability and some Impact Grenades as Blitz
- Medic: There is no need of a healer centred branch, neither on Zealot nor on Veteran
- Arch Flagellant: Would not work, at least not as a Reject (Lorewise cause it’s rare technology) and wouldn’t work with the current mechanics (Having both ranged and melee weapons; being able to use Auspex and other objects) severely limit what can be done with it (Attached weapons, wouldn’t be able use normal weapons). → Instead just give the Zealot a couple of Flail weapons (Shock, Power and Chain exist)
- Crusader: Yes good idea, would be suitable on the Death Cult Assassin’s side
- Leashmaster: Yes, though call it Enforcer, and have the Leashmaster be the name of the Ability, Concussion Impact grenades would be fun to have
Battle Servitor aren’t on the same body type as Ogryn. And there aren’t any weapons that can be given to a Servitor that couldn’t be given to an Ogryn.
Stave are used to allocate powers cause it let them balance them, there is no point in doing such change:
Vortex of Doom: Would work as an Ability, but we already have 2 Telekinesis ones
Warp Speed: I do want to see that as the Biomancy ability, as a leap and not a dash though, as it’s Biomancy could give it a thunderous AoE at the drop point
Iron Arm/Hammerhand: Would be suited to be part of a melee weapon (Eg: Biomantic Sword, working like Sienna’s Fire Sword in VT2)

Deamonhost: We already have those in game, and it wouldn’t make sense to have X Daemonhost running around like that.
For Psyker the new Domains should be themed around new disciplines, eg.:
Stormwroth/Maelstorm of Destruction: Biomancy and Temporal
Blitz: “Stasis Shell” slow recharging Blitz, would create area that slow down enemies (Animations/attack speed and movement speed)
Ability: Warp Speed, leap ability, on impact create a localized bio electricity blast
Aura: “Endurance”: Decrease Health Damage by a flat percentag or allies in coherency that get health damage will gain a buff that will regenerate a percentage of the damage, has an individual cooldown
Keystone: Chitin Shell: Gain damage reduction stacks like Feel no Pain

I hope that we won’t get more weapons until Fatshark have reworked crafting.

you can fix the issue with the Stormtrooper branch via the Training anyone with the Cadian World it changes all terms of Stormtroopers to Karskin, if the person has Schola Progenium then Place it as a Tempestus scion and if it has nether then it gets Grenadier/Stormtrooper.
ogyrn you can Caiphas Cain book’s they have Ogyrn Combat Servitor’s so you can do it, also Mechanicus books have talked about Converting Servitor’s from Ogyrn. while yes their no weapons that currently Compatible to the Oggy` it doesn’t have to be weapon should lock out. as i siad in multiple times, it fine to limit the amount of weapons, a Stormtrooper/karskin/scion. should be restricted to a few different weapon, so no Common lasgun or Autogun. but Hotshot lasguns like scoped Ryza, Scoped Lucius and Voss/Cadian hotshot Lasgun, Hotshot marksman rifle, Hotshot pistols and Bolt-pistol/Boltguns. while the Power swords ,axes, Power Fists. and the different Knifes. with Melta mines/bombs, Gas Grenades or Kappa 10 Snare Mines as their Combat ability. with Ultimate of Volly-gun 30 Firing 90 cooldown.
for the Ogyrn it allows one to bring in weapons that one couldn’t actually bring in with a normal guardsman. it also just locks your character to heavy bolters, Plasma-cannon and Multi-melta. maybe with a Secondary range weapon built into with the Servitor Claw.
think of it from a Monetary Prospective for the FS, you get 2 classes you can sell 2 loads of Cosmetics make players pay for the DLC to access them. and for the weapons you can add in alot of new skins for them ontop Skiarri Ranger,Vanguard,Infiltraitor Ruststalker (yes you can do a Branch that scrafices range weapons by giving them to melee weapons but to compensate they have to be ethier Faster, Ingore stuns, tankier to range fire or Dodge while moving.) and for the techadeptu your 3 branches named after any of the primary ordos of the Cult of the mechanics. if anything i would say FS will be doing something like this just for the DLC sales potential.
So, the problem is as they continue to introduce new weapons, they further inflate the loot pool, resulting in you being unable to gain the new weapons normally (RNG dropped through Brunt and daily), but only by forcing them from Brunt’s.
I’ve had no natural access to any of the new weaponry other than by spending millions of dockets at Brunt’s.

Ogryn already has the least weapons, doing that wouldn’t fix anything and simply continue to let it hae the least weapons available.
While books have had Ogryn wielding a Plasma Cannon, I don’t think it fit the Ogryn, but for Heavy Bolter, those are available as noted on the Gunlugger class in Only War.
As for Servitor Claw, I think it would work better as a Servo Arm melee weapon on the Tech Adept.
But doing those also mean more works, as you need to also introduce 3-6 VA for each.
