So... What now?

If people have wildly fantastical wishlists, including new classes for the sole reason that “they’d be cool”, vehicles, etc., of course they’ll be disappointed.
Going through books or a wiki and then wishing for everything that’s cool is generally a poor advisor for expectations or game design.

It’s gotta be reworks of crafting and cosmetics.

Everything else has been, on the whole, fixed or at least ameliorated. Yes, there’s still work to be done with tweaks and balances - my poor Boltgun, look what they did to my son - but the classes are, on the whole, pretty great and the gameplay is solid.

Yes, Ogryn could use more weapons. Yes, your Super Special Heavy Long-Las Hotshot Volkite Melta Sniper Rifle with Daddy Emperor’s Favorite Little Boy inscribed on the barrel isnt in yet and neither are overpriced, low quality cosmetics with mismatched outfit pieces which vaguely resemble That Niche Guard Regiment You Identify With To Feel Special. I also want all those things.

But all of that is going to either fall prey to Fatshark’s overwhelmingly hated crafting system, an onerous malformed limb on an otherwise brilliant title which gets worse and worse the more content and weapons get added, or the absolutely lackluster and needlessly predatory cosmetic shop, where nothing new gets added for free and everything on offer is low quality recolors, most of which they won’t even let you purchase unless you wait.

Fatshark, you’ve exceeded expectations this year. Absolutely nobody was asking for a wholesale rework of the class system and yet you excelled. Three new missions isn’t anything to turn our noses up at snd neither is a new, actual boss. But this godawful and clearly unfinished crafting system will hang as an albatross about Fatshark’s neck until and unless it gets finished and fixed.

Shooting staving poor peasants in full military dress uniform was a very much a big want I want from any 40k game to capture

All we need is mordian iron guard cosmetics and we’re set. Especially since the thing you mostly fight in dt are just diseased emaciated hive city peasants.

The changing of some ui text to kasrkin for cadian seems reasonable to expect if we ever get anything scion class or tree related because of other unique cadian features with certain dialogue and eye colour.

But I doubt a skill tree branch will come with weapon restrictions. Fatshark already strayed away from weapon specific keystone for vet I doubt they would do the same thing but even more restrictive.
