So the game dead now?

^Mainly in response to this paragraph. In stating we shouldn’t think (assuming this is true for simplicities sake) that the level of hypocrisy or self interestedness is unique to the demographics of gamers or discussions involving video games. That expecting people to not behave self interestedly (to some extent) is setting yourself up for failure.

Its the extent that important though. Sure everyone has some degree of selt interest, but its when that self interest overrides any and all other considerations - including ones own long-term gain - that it becomes a major issue. And pretty much everywhere you look gamers are doing just that.

I am wary of making broad and prescriptive claims. I wouldn’t say an entire group of people are one way. My point is, even if we assume that is true, I don’t see that being exceptional. Religion, politics, nationalism, sports, business, any thing people are passionate about and can disagree, I would say the “extent” of self interestedness would be across multiple (or all) disciplines.

And I’m wary of anything that gets us off the topic that Fat Shark needs to straighten up and swim right.

This is a deep rabbit hole, and unless you’ll drag the manager who makes us have locks all the way down to the bottom, it’s not useful.

I think we need a bigger boat for that particular shark, so yeah.

In the meantime, let us huddle around the campfire and wait for Fatshark to do something. They’ve had two weeks since even the most generous interpretation of 'the holidays ’ ended. Yet they remain silent.

What do you mean? They’ve been back, for VT2 Vs (Sigmar betrays me and didn’t invite me to ratbash). On the Darktide side they dropped another schizo vox transmission for people to decode and ‘Moebian Domain’ was dropped on their Youtube and not the soundtrack the imperial edition game came with. Everything is as it should be on Teritum, the mushroom people live in the dark and their diet is poor.

This is the definition of a circle jerk thread.

So get in the circle.

I didn’t play during that glitch, even though I knew about it. I couldn’t be less fkd to deal with the crafting system, even if I had essentially infinite resources. The problem with the system isn’t that the resources are too scarce; it’s just plainly an absolutely shite system to interact with in every single regard.

Well, yes, but if you did have infinite resources you could manage better.

First, you get the mod that lets you go to the vendors while at the character select screen and the mod that sorts items by base rating, and you can check the shop on all characters quickly to collect high rank greys and greens as they present, push them to blue and collect blessings… Sell them if you get a duplicate. Keep a few for actual use and on to orange. The problem is you keep running out of plasteel.

Now, you might be thinking “Holy %#$@ that’s almost worse!” and yeah, but it’s the price you pay if you really want a better powersword or thunderhammer. It’s the system we got and it sucks and it’ll burn me out soon and I’ll go play something else and forget Darktide.

Thread has derailed so will lock.
