Should we be able to upgrade weapons using higher quality weapons ?
As in : you have a Catachan MK III Combat Blade with you got or upgraded like this one :
Now you like this blade, you actually upgrade it to Transcendent while playing with it for a while.
Consider the randomness of the shop for people playing a not unreasonable amount of time (aka 2 hours session in the evening 4 times a week let’s say), well that is the best knife you have and upgraded.
But behold a miracle, a 365 green knife appears.
Should we be able to marginally upgrade the first blade with the new blade ?
I think so.
Upgrade should be marginal, as 3-5 points of global leveling under 350 and 1-3 points above 350.
How individual stats upgrade should be thought out (progression only on higher stat in new blade by priority ?). Maximum upgrade levels should stay at 380/80 of’ course.
Anyway, I really feel something like this needs to happen in one form or another to get some progression going
The rate of that progression would stay quite low and lower as you progress with the need to find higher global power weapons anyway.
Also, as you want to also dismantle weapons to extract their blessings, some overlap may occur to further limit the system (depending on the form this takes).
And maybe that first blade you got ? Well you upgraded it but then get another one with a perfect lvl 4 perk instead that suits you … so in time you will work out to level that one, sacrificing the first you upgraded before in the end.
Just a random thought about the systems we have.
