How the hell did the devs make a stat system AND upgrade system where gear does NOT remotely get better itself. OoOOoOo I get a perk and a blessing, meanwhile the weapon itself goes nowhere, such an annoyingly stupid ‘upgrade’ system.
There should definitely be some way of improving the stat bars. Especially since the stats are capped at 80% right now it seems pretty obvious that we’re missing some component of the itemization system that can take those all the way up to 100%.
I don’t think upgrading should raise the stats, but it would be nice if the XP you gain after you hit 30 did something, so maybe your weapons could start leveling up. Like, maybe you can level a weapon all the way to somewhere around 400-450 base power by using it in a lot of missions and add a point to a bar of your choice every time it goes up.
Or they could allow you to extract the bar stats of a weapon the same way you can extract a blessing and then attach them to another weapon of the same type. That way you at least don’t have to worry about wasting resources unless you have the perfect base weapon to start with.
Definitely need to be able to upgrade a weapon to 100% in all base stats. Logging in every hour to check the shop for a god roll that has an absolutely microscopic chance of appearing is ridiculous. Blessings will obviously be able to be maxed out once full crafting drops, but another problem arises with…uh, traits? perks? Whatever they’re called. We know there’s a reroll system that progressively costs more, but once again it’s another microscopic chance you get the exact two you were looking for and both in the highest tier they can show as.
Gating top tier gear behind RNG is just absolute trash in every way it has ever been implemented. Even the drop chance nerds of ye olde MMOs had to cave in and add token systems to outright buy the gear after enough runs.
i upgraded a gun its Damage didnt even change a bit.
also weapon gear score is based on
base gear score (Weapon stats)
+
Perks (Example 15% increase damage to maniac)
+
Blessing (hitting Multiple targets increase Cleave by 15%)
yet you only get 1 ability.
