personally i feel not everything should be shared as many weapons are character specific, and at the end of the day getting a good weapon isnt that hard,…
Curios on the other hand, are universal and i feel need to be such.
all currency as well as progress with weekly challenges need to be shared.
this will do 2 things,
give us a reason to make new characters and try out new builds without pressing restart and then grinding as grinding for no real reason isnt fun.
it allows new characters to get into the action faster, get to level 8 throw on a curio that will make your character more survivable and such will elevate the grind going forward.
we have all been playing starrting up a lv4 mission when suddenly 2 players join that are lv6 and you know they dont have the standing or strength to survive. most of the time the best i can do is drop out as i cant carry them and they likely wont pull their own weight.
not that they cant pull their own weight, but one does not enter a race vs a Lamborghini on a bicycle. being so low a level means they dont have many skills no curios, and not much money to afford or craft a good weapon.
An obvious change. I hope subclasses are something you can switch into as well, so you don’t end up needing to make 12 characters when they all look the same as the original 4.
Yeah we need to be able to switch into subclasses and have the same levels and gear or something. With 24 planned classes, it’d take roughly 720 hours just to level each class, let alone the gear, material and currency grinds.
We only have 5 character slots. If subclasses arent swappable like VT2, will they sell the extra slots as well as the new classes or are we expected to delete who knows how much progression time to try the new classes?
This thread needs to stay top, because the issue is STILL not righted, despite how easy it must be to to, as Aquilas are already accountwide.
No one cares about some design intent, if its siloing what I worked for in my game time, period.
They should just bring back resource/inventory sharing like what we had in VT2, would encourage people to play multiple characters and doesnt punish you for getting something good that is not suitable for the character you are playing.
Since classes are already restricted on what weapon they can use anyway what difference would it make to allow the common gear to be shared.
Guess I gotta revive this thread. Again. What is going through your minds, Fatshark? Hmm? It makes no sense to me. Make resources account-wide. That means money and crafting mats. You want to keep “Marks” per character? Fine. But you need to make mats/cash an account thing. This per character nonsense makes no sense whatsoever.
one can assume its likely bug fixing and getting the Xbox Out with Cross Play, it seems like this needs to be hammered out before that. what good will 40k new players if they dont stay around, due to issues like this(shared resources) and Item Locks and other QOL features.
This is pretty much reason #1 why I’m not particularly interested in playing the game very much, especially on my own.
The siloing of the characters means that I don’t really want to play anything other than my main, and maybe a secondary. Because at this point, the other 2 are so far behind resource wise I don’t want to start back down there just to start the grind back up.
I’d be more inclined to play them if playing my mains would mean that I could dump materials to help bring the others up to speed, or alternatively, if playing with the others means that I’m still making overall progress.
Because if/when I get bored of my main, at this point I go play a different game. I can still have fun with my other characters, but I don’t have the resources in them to really try new weapons or builds. I’d have to grind each one individually and I’m just not into that. In VT2, when I got bored of 1 character, I hopped to the other.
If Aquillas and blessings are shared account wide across characters, Dockets, Melkbucks, Plasteel, Diamantine can as well. There’s no reason not to except apparently the “design intent” is to waste our time by forcing us to grind each character independently. Which then, tbh, the design intent needs a re-thinking because it’s not fun.
Thats what i thought from the beginning and i can´t understand why there is Diamantine and Plasteel.
I guess one crafting Material would be enough, eventually you are searching all spots without knowing which one you´ll find. The weekly mission icome should be accessable for all characters. I only got 2 characters because it would take too much time to do all the missions with 3 or 4 of em. for a casusal player, who plays maybe 5 hours a week or so it is just not possible to achieve enough for building good weapons etc… without progress it gets frustrating and boring. Just think of players who struggle with T3 and trying to get it done. I´m glad the blessings are for all characters available.
I had enough time since last fall but normally i would have stopped playing because of the problem i mentioned before.
We need new classes too. New archetypes would be nicer, but this is the hole they dug for themselves when they reappropriated VT2’s career system into their class system.
