Please allow resources (money, weekly currency) to be shared across all characters

One of the reasons I liked to try every character in Vermintide was that it never felt wasteful to play all of the characters, because I could just jump between different characters and never felt like it wasn’t progressing towards something.

Now, I really don’t want to move off of my zealot anymore because I don’t have all day to play, and these weeklies can be brutal. What’s happening is I’m actually playing less because if I switch to my veteran or psyker, it’s like “Well, I’m leveling them up, but then my zealot is going to fall behind in resources”, and I end up just not playing and going to something else.

Purely from a business standpoint, not wasiting the consumer’s time feels like a better option to get someone to play more as they can freely switch between characters, rather than feeling like doing so would be suboptimal.

We could also farm gear for other characters… By getting high lvl chests with someone we could switch over and open them on the character we were wishing for that red item (assuming both are max power lvl).

Its a weird thing to think about when our own characters are split, usually the community is split with different game modes… now its our own characters within our own ID.

And I really wish we could get an answer from Fatshark about this, because then I would know whether or not I’m going to even bother leveling my other characters anymore. I like the game, but I get a little burned out, at times, playing the same character. In the beta, it was nice to initially be able to switch between them when money didn’t matter too much, and weekly currency and crafting mats weren’t in yet.

Now it’s like… well, if I’m not playing my zealot, I’m just not playing, because if I’m going to play, it has to be ensuring I’m collecting enough resources for my main character otherwise everything will be split between two or three, and by the time they flesh out all the systems, I won’t have enough on any of them to do anything.

Totally agree with you op.

Hedge said on Discord that its “very unlikely” wich I find just absolutely insane.

Reddits on fire the steam forums are on fire the reviews are really negative now that its launched people don’t like the skin store. we don’t even have a full crafting system plus whatever internal things they say there doing to the store because they admit the rng for it is pretty bad. were also lacking key quality of life things vermintide has and there even chip through damage for toughness. why am I mentioning all of these things in a reply? well I’m hoping these seemingly key smaller features do get addressed because I leveled every chair in vermintide and if we end up with a class a quarter that’s 4 alts a year that’s 16 classes by the time we get to the same age as vermintide 2. That’s probably hyperbole and its probably not realistic that they would release that many classes a year forget 16 over 4 years. I think you and everyone would see that basically, We are going to need some kind of account-based inventory. and my worry is this it is going to get complicated down the road if it’s not done in the immediate future because it’s causing very real issues and worry now. and I feel the meaningful feedback is being buried under negativity if not the serious issues that need to be addressed.

an unfortunate public statment

Even if it’s just the crafting supplies and various currencies, that would be a big help. (And those things are just numbers, so it’s a trivial change in any sane codebase.)

a lot of weapons are also shared by classes something vermintide 2 rarely had.

oh god i hope this was a joke

This was his answer. I don’t know what the “improvements” are, but holy throne… the improvements should be a shared inventory like we had in Vermintide 2.

Hard to se a way to improve the disgusting system we have now, maybe just increasing the number of materials and cash we get per run. and by a lot

Now that is something I agree with.
Those who don’t have as much time will find the Tidengrind too much. Not a problem of me personally, but if this game wants to keep more of it’s casual playerbase, it also needs to be a bit more casual with the required effort to get to the meat of the game.

I mean, if they made the weeklies less of a pain in the ass, I’d be fine with that. But some of these tasks take all week unless you are playing 3+ hours a night.

Honestly the weapon shop and RNG stats have seriously grown on me, as I’m encouraged to try a myriad of different weapons when I see a good stat roll rather than try to stubbornly wait out 1 specific weapon with the right stats.

The character level grind and lack of shared resources is still unforgivably dumb to me though. Absolute brain dead choice that makes me actively dread the idea of playing another character rather than excited.

I also enjoy the RNG Stats, the shop is fine as well, if we just got rewards for completing missions.

On launch day, I got 10 mastercrafted guns in 12 runs. All of them had trash stat rolls, but I was still excited seeing it pop up on the end screen and hoping for a good roll. After the quick patch earlier I only got 2 rewards after over 15 matches.

Logging in every hour, to be dissapointed by a bad shop roll is sad as the only progression system in the game. I find myself only doing missions to farm currency for the shop, and the enjoyment is sinking rapidly as I don’t have any reason to keep doing missions. Crafting materials are almost worthless, since I cant even get a weapon I want to upgrade, Money is only needed to buy weapons every few hours so I have enough of that, and the emperors gifts are so rare I don’t have any reason to believe I would actually get anything from doing a mission.

I mean to show you the problem, I’m a zealot with Ilvl ~500 without a single eviscerator, thunder hammer or flamethrower to my name. Since I got unlucky with the shop and the rewards.

Agreed, it just needs more ways to obtain weapons than just the shop or spending your incredibly limited weekly currency. We should be getting a random weapon as a mission reward at least every 2 missions.

Hopefully crafting also give us more options here
