Recent Vox Intercepts and Tertium Tales

Looks like someone finally remembered the account info and how to post the darn things - we’re getting backstory and stuff about the 21st infected condition.

Only took them what, a month?

I wonder what is actually going on behind the scenes with those vox videos.
Is it internal miscommunication? Or lack of it?
Some parts of production lagging behind?
Intentional lagging to get people to remind people darktide exists and try to lure them back in?

Then you also have to pose a question : What other teasers of new content are we actually not getting because of whatever reason.

Yeah it’s absolutely hilarious

Imagine if the information to do with the context and outcomes of major orders in helldivers 2 came out weeks to a month after the major order was finished

Seriously tho these things really shouldn’t take too long to make how the hell are they so late. Get va to deliver lines boom job done.

I do wonder if someone thinks they can just be late with lore explanations and the like rather than it becoming further evidence of dysfunction.

Unlike HD2, everything FS puts out has to go through the GW approval process.

As an outsider, though, it is impossible to say who or what is at specific fault for this delay. But I could easily see GW sending it back three times over some silly nitpicks and FS having to reschedule VA work each time. I could also see FS having it all ready months in advance and just letting it sit in a forgotten folder on one of their computers. Who can say?

Are they actually that nitpicky? (i’ve limited knowledge on how GW operate. I only know they’re very scummy business and customer service wise).

They didnt seem to care about CA dragging TW: warhammer 3 through the mud, and only intervened when there was a cut unit still in the game files.

They didnt seem to care much about DoW3 either, or that hack and slash game nobody remembers.
So to my knowledge they do not give a damn about the quality of games using their IP.

So honestly i doubt its GW that is behind this horrible schedule.

I doubt that happens all that much since the whole atoma/Moebian Domain thing is made up for the game, so gw can just decide “warp shenanigans x amount of years when atoma was rediscovered it was already dead due to exterminatus with no record indicating what really happened”

It was previously confirmed that everything, all the way down to individual portrait frames, had to go through the approval process.

Hard to say. Seems wildly inconsistent to me. Probably very dependent on who is in charge of it in the GW offices at that time and what mood they are in.

Certainly, a number of games have been pretty wild with their interpretations of the IP but I know of several older WH games that complained of plans being derailed by GW (e.g. DoW1 wanted to add Tyranids but GW didn’t like their implementation, modders would later save the day). When it comes to specifics, we were told that a bunch of planned portrait frames FS wanted to use for VT2 (which modders had found in the game files) had not been approved despite there not being anything mildly lore-breaking about them. Other than that one time, we haven’t gotten a look behind the curtain very much, but it seems safe to say it is also fairly arbitrary on top of being inconsistent.

previously, not necessarily currently

Sure but given that was the the way they ran VT2 and we have learned nothing different since, I see no reason to suspect otherwise.

well the vox intercepts are out of game

And?

I guess that means it doesn’t have to go through the XBox approval process at least, but it is still a lore release related to their IP. Of course GW will have a say in it if they want to.

“if they want to”

. . . which has been demonstrated when it comes to Fatshark’s work, so I’m not getting your point.

GW’s legal team is 1: more than a little psychotic and 2: barely if at all aware of the actual lore. it’s long been a joke in the hobby that anything can set them off. who knows why they put their foot down and for what reason, but you just have to accept it because they won’t listen to reason.

I really don’t understand it at all, nor the mystique of it, they seem to not coincide with what’s actually going on in the game, feels very disconnected and absolutely none of this is in the game itself

didn’t they say they would bring the mobian 21st back though right after the event ended it in one of these obscure posts?

Someone important probably saw the rukus that the totally-not-rad-rifle vox intercept caused. The solution to that seems to be to release the vox intercepts after the event so they won’t get “misinterpeted.”

if they will bring back, it will be nice but it will be just unfair for the other past special conditions
like Terror in the Dark, Rinda in lights out

they need to put them all permanently back imo

Also WP in Vt2 getting the Flail and Shield because GW wouldn’t allow the normal Flail on it
