Thanks! I’m going to roll in a few other suggestions and ideas from threads I’ve seen kicking around. Feel free to add suggestions here too.

Added this from another thread:

  • Restore hotkeys for navigating inventory menu sub-menus (e.g. V for inspect details, C for cosmetics). Why was this taken away? See the “Go To Mastery” mod for some examples of good usage.

Also wanted to say that this thread is excellent and covers a lot of the same talking points:

Great post!

Seconding the “help me” emote, even if a mod already has that implemented.

I’d like to see a “Speed up” or “Slow down” emote because lack of communication (and coordination) about pacing is one of the biggest reasons that runs fail imo.

it’s not just tiring to click repeatedly for every heretic head you want to bash in (and there are many heads). it helps your mouse last longer. i don’t remember having to click that much in a shooter before darktide.

Just look at the popular mods online and they’ll have a myriad of ideas they won’t implement.

To be fair. Darktide is not a shooter. It’s a Horde extraction that has guns, but it’s less like Halo/CoD/CS2 (shooters) than something like L4D2 (with its melee weapons.)

Vermintide and Darktide are heavily “let’s take L4D2, and make the melee weapons a core focus rather than a secondary weapon” with Darktide putting more emphasis on guns than Vermintide did.

Referring to Darktide as a shooter because it has guns is like referring to Halo as a melee brawler because it has the gravity hammer and energy sword.

Option to bypass mourningstar and access all menus/mission terminal without having to walk

then first person game. where you kill stuff in 3d, no matter how, and you have to click a lot. being able to just hold a mouse button greatly improves its life expectancy and makes gameplay less tedious.

luckily there are mods where you can hold M1 to shoot automatically with for example lasgun and so on, or a mod where it lets you attack with melee assigned with a hotkey if you want so.

these things allowed, as in it is also ok for people that have accessibility issues etc.

so, one of my suggestions for QoL is the one of being able to move and rearrange your loadouts.

for example when you have so many loadouts, it would be cool to move them and sort them out by the order you want, making them more clean because of the order with certain weapons etc.

for now it doesn’t seem it is possible
they can’t be moved nor dragged in a different loadout slot.

One thing to consider is Bot setups. As is, we get stuck with veterans using basic equipment who get flattened immediately. In Vermintide 2, players tend to go with beefier classes on bots with precision weapons. While they aren’t the most intelligent, that extra bulk and the ability to shoot the odd special makes them more than viable at base endgame levels. I think swapping out the vets for ogryn and zealots would be a good start.

Since the crafting rework, there no longer are any Tier exclusive blessings in the game.
It would still be nice to have the option to choose between displaying “all tiers” and “highest unlocked tier of each blessing” at hadron.

Although to be fair, it is no longer as important.

My humble addition:

  • Add the mini-games equipment (regular 4 row scanner gadget, phage tree gadget, the new train mission gadget, etc.) in the Psychanium to practice.

I never learned how to operate the phage tree nor the new train mission gadget because they only appear in very stressful situations. So I always let someone else do it.

But if I could learn how to do it in advance and not waste the team’s time while learning it, then I’d be much more helpful.

This is a cute idea I like it.

exactly, it’s just firing at the normal rate, but without having to click like a maniac.
