Preorder beta progress (inluding beta participation reward) linked to steam account? Would refund & use of Nvidia key keep progress & reward?

Hello,

I’ve bought the normal edition of the game and have played the pre-order beta of DarkTide and had a lot of fun doing so, thanks fatshark!

I’m now in the strange situation where I’m going to have to ask for a refund… to add the game again in a short time (roughly a month).

Indeed I’ve ordered a new Nvidia graphic card to be able to properly play the game, meaning I’ll get a key for the Imperial edition of the game.
That means I’ll have 14 days to refund the game, then use the game key I’ll get through Nvidia, in order to be able to use the imperial edition (and not pay the game twice).

If I do so:

  • will the preorder beta progress & reward still be available in my steam account after the refund & use of the new game-key?
  • I’ll receive the card, and then the gamekey, around end of December. It means I’ll have to refund the game before (13th December at the latest). Will it affect the above question?

well its only 2 hours of progress so i wouldnt worry too much.

but as you will be logging in with the same steam account id imagine it will (a guess)

Good question, and not to worry!

Your account progress (including beta rewards) is tied to your Steam ID. So, if you refund the game and pick it up again later, then as long as you redeem your new key on the same Steam account, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off :slight_smile:

It’s unlikely, but if for any reason you have an issue with the beta rewards, then please reach out to me and I’ll ensure that you get them!
