Me and my friend experiencing some issues like others here lately. My screen freezes for a half a second when hordes come, he (my friend) has a weaker machine, he had to set everything to the lowest settings down from medium… I’m sure this whole thing could be optimized a lot better. I don’t know about cheaters. Having them around wouldn’t be good for sure but having an unoptimized pile of c*** running on my pc ain’t too good either.
Zero FPS problems with my average PC.
Upgrade your potatoes, lower your settings, and stop trying to get rid of EAC so you can try to use your scrub trainer, cause it’s not going anywhere.
FatShark has the data and i’m sure they know most people are talking out their ass trying to stir it up to undermine the only protection this game has.
I have horrible FPS drops during hordes and randomly during several maps. My pc is definetly on the high end, so i’d rather think its because the game has some issues, instead of their Anti-cheat.
It definitely varies who has these problems, but when I drop from 50+ fps on high post 1.0.5 and now after EAC is enabled, I drop down to 20 where there arent even hordes present in spikes no matter what my settings are
just brushing it off and saying it is just people who want to undermine cheatingprotection rather than actually have the game they paid for be playable isn’t cool
protecting the game from a small portion of the players who cheat and punishing those who dont is the wrong way to go
it is embarassingly poor performance and needs to be fixed
They did say something about having seperate servers (when that comes out) for modders and vanilla players. Adding this option for the anti-cheat wouldn’t be too different, and would make everyone happy.
Has anyone played the prologue since the patch? Yeah, I even noticed some micro-stutters there. Not nearly as bad as in a match, but noticeable if you are looking for them.
Heh, its Denuvo or Starforce all over again.
Thats actually kinda funny.
One thing I find rather peculiar about it is how Robin seems to imply that if you have a problem with EAC, you should refer to them. Sorry, but that’s not how that works. If you force this software on the player, you have to support on it. You made the choice, so own it. I could play the game on max details before with above 60fps, now I have to tone down everything that goes on my cpu, otherwise, my fps drop below 20 and sometimes even 15. What am I supposed to do about it? I don’t know why and how, I am not a software engineer, and EAC certainly doesn’t know the code FS wrote.
While this may be the case currently, we had individuals who cheated in Vermintide 1, who could reset your level and other manipulations of your account. I totally get where you are coming from, and I dont agree with out current solution, but the cheating you see now will only get worse the longer the game is around.
Ever since EAC my game has been dropping frames and I have been playing a lot of Legend mode and everyone who I have played with are complaining about the same thing.
hmmm… The thread is now open for nearly 5 Days… near 1700 views and over 100 comments.
Still not any comment from Fatshark here. So I guess they wont do anything against it.
The best thing is yesterday I came across the first cheater. So after hundreds of rounds I met one cheater, introducing EAC did not work as it should be, because cheats still possible and not cheating players have problems and lags. (not all but not less either)
Guess removing EAC (atleast on a status before 1.5) would be best solution but ignoring the fanbase is the wrong decision imho.
I am disapointed…
=\ don’t be one of those people please. just because you don’t see a reply from them doesn’t mean they aren’t aware of the issues. they’re paddling hard on many fronts.
yep sorry… I hope so!
But elsewhere, reddit I believe, they are looking for a hotfix to roll out.
