I want you, Rvl, to know that I used to think you were better than this because you had a Monster Hunter PFP and I assumed you understood the concept that improving yourself at a game is its own intrinsic reward. But I was wrong to assume this. Instead you allude to imagined hypocrisies, (intentionally?) miss the point of whatever given post and occasionally just lie about something.
Rvl lied about what? The good points were already made long ago and were discussed to an extent. All that is left now is finger pointing and completely unrelated stuff. Like you show how you do whatever with fewer talents, just etc.
Go show me most players doing this in the game? This is the equivalent of saying Havoc is now obsolete cause chocoB could already solo it since before even Arbites.
This discussion is just a group therapy session where a bunch of forum regulars are stroking eachother’s egos. Tyranny of the majority? Horrifying?
I mean you can take it as seriously as you want but it’s just comedy at this point.
This is what people agreeing with one another is to you? You literally only feel this way because we told you that your ideas, while good, weren’t something that Fatshark could do in a timely manner. ![]()

Its totally disconnected from the game to say that because some players are bad, arbites class isn’t totally head and shoulders (knees and toes knees and toes) stronger than the other classes. and even if a small minutiae of loadouts can out damage them, they still don’t get all of crazy high survival, toughness restore, mobility and stamina regen at the same time. its just irrefutable bad designed power creep, arbites is either 9 or 10/10 in every situation.
Nerfing player power is the easier and more feasible approach of handling things, otherwise FS will be playing catch-up for years to buff older content just to make it worth using. Player capabilities have ballooned to such an extreme degree that attempting to balance using almost exclusively buffs will BREAK the game in ways both predictable and unpredictable. And worth mentioning is that class/weapon identity has eroded so hard to the point that the idea of a class or weapon having strengths and weaknesses is crazy enough that you’ll pretend your opposition hates fun.
So then is this discussion going to fix the game? Do you think some of the replies here like tyranny of the majority like you said will reach the devs and they will just be taken aback by it and change the game? Do you believe that?
Maybe some are dismissive, maybe not. But of course you also don’t point out how many posters here are taking the chance to throw insults, veiled or not, at the more casual playerbase. That helps nothing. Neither does sensationalizing certain things. Yeah maybe some things aren’t right but this is really NOT the end of the world.
We’ve been OP since 2023. Zealots started doing Combat Blade + Shroudfield Builds to speedrun ahead of their team on AURIC without being downed. And Arbitrator is WAY beyond that.
This. This is the voice of logic.
The “people who don’t want nerfs are casuals/noobs/liars/derrogatory therm and vets will universally agree on nerfs” is a myth. Seen plenty of vets that get trashed when they visit a tread here with the “wrong opinion”.
It’s only a “popular” opinion here because everyone with the wrong opinion gets bullied out of the forum, any sane person will probably just go back to the game and ignore the forums entirely instead of engaging with whatever this has become.
Oh yeah for sure, I am no vet or all that great but I know some here who don’t entirely agree with the topic did win the highest difficulty of the game.
At least if I was a dev, I’d look for feedback with more substance than much of what’s going on here. Numbers, ideas, things of that nature, which was provided here too I cannot deny that, but then it turned into something else.
On that last point I agree, I have been playing the game quite a bit and I’ve been having lots of fun. I had a lot of positive interactions with the so called “noobs” as well as with vets, so I guess I get a bit emotional about seeing them picked on as if they’re some big bad sometimes, just doesn’t sit right with me.
Logic would also take patterns into account, realize that the playerbase on the whole seems to like this trends and that other characters will be buffed with likely unforeseen balance consequences. And maybe therein lies the more likely solution.
It’s not logical to look at the breaking dam and say “well this wasn’t built right”, it’s logical to get the hell out and consider what to do next maybe.
They know not what they do.
I don’t blame them 100%. This is on Fatshark, this forum has almost 0 moderation, their guidelines are broken all the time and nothing happens. Reminds me of the government. Unless someone says gamer words, then you are good.

ACAB including people aren’t mods that are trying to police how/what people talk about on forums. You can mute threads btw.
Within this thread alone:
The “players are still dying with Arbitrator/Ogryn” argument implying your criticisms are irrelevant or unfounded are so disappointingly common while it’s also one of the dumbest points one could make inspired me to make something like this:
It’s very obviously going to influence Fatshark’s decision making at some level, if it wasn’t for the community’s whining then we’d still be stuck with so many of old Darktide’s worst aspects like it’s “crafting” system, mission board and older/worse versions of talent trees.
One such pattern being Fatshark taking months or years to get things done.
It’s either not enough or ignored or both when a player like me says that arbites is so obviously overturned because it allows me to do things I could not yet accomplish with other classes, like clutching auric/maels regularly when I was still working toward that before it dropped.
That exists in this nebulous in between where I am now a toxic veteran sweat lord (because I earned my place in Auric and know my skill well enough not to embellish). But also now, apparently, I discredit myself because I’ve used the class I paid for and like penance hunting?
Reddit is a gathering place for casual players, while the forums are where core gamers come together.
I don’t really care who gathers where, but when it comes to discussing game balance, the only voices that matter are those of core gamers.
That said, I’m not suggesting that Auric should be turned into some ultra-elite mode for the top 1% of players. The point is simply that the current environment is far too unbalanced, and I’m only trying to bring it closer to a balance that matches the intended difficulty. On top of that, some form of nerf is necessary for Arbites and Ogryn, and the same kind of adjustments are also needed for DS, Gold Toughness, and Smite.
Emphasis on had, the backstab audio cue is like the only inconsistent audio problem left in that game thanks to its netcode/latency.
