This is a pve game, there is no pay to win scenario here.

Just imagine that nor arbites added, but zealot.

Can survive overheads, have strongest melee attack in the game (personel record 33 thousands), can give gold toughness AND stun. Can throw bosses out of map, can go stealth and have CRAZY CD reduction.

Maybe nerf zealot then?)

pay to ruin any challenge and fun for others is even worse

in pvp at least every1 can pay to win against each other

Every Archetype has been OP since Patch 13. Some are just more OP than others.

So if they released a payed DLC which guaranteed success every single time you used that DLCs content, it’s still not pay to win because you’re using it against an AI opponent?

Yeah, that’s obviously just blatenly false, what?

It’s only guaranteed if you’re good enough on the class, most people playing Zealot/Ogryn 6 months ago barely lost a game in auric, much prior to Arbites existing.

Not to mention average Arbites player will never perform at the same level as some people here play where they can solo the mission.

Be real, when was the last time auric was truly hard? The only times it was hard for me is when I quickplay into 3 teammates who either don’t have fully fleshed out builds or just don’t have enough experience with the game yet.

^ I did that as melee Psyker. So I removed fun here for everyone, right?

Auric was only hard in the first couple of months of them releasing the new board. Some people here care so much for the difficulty of the game, yet they only play in premades.

So the only issue with the Arbites, that most people on this forum seem to take an issue with, is that it empowers casual players who don’t play all that well, because OBVIOUSLY they don’t deserve it, only our cute forum clique deserves to play the game at the highest level, because we’re the skilled ones.

I wasn’t talking about Arbiter or I would’ve mentioned that DLC specifically.

I replied to a general statement with a general statement of my own.

Funny that. Zealot was considered OP. Then the Ogryn rework came along. Then the Arbites.

Arbites makes Auric feel like Heretic.

Wait, are you saying that it is impossible to lose with arbites? Mkay…

hasn’t zealot gotten some nerfs?

i think the biggest one i remember is finally fixing charge so it doesn’t give you 10 seconds of armour piercing crit ranged ammo, which was hilariously broken to the point it wasn’t even marked as a balance change but a bug fix

All three of those are different ults. You have to choose between having charge for that huge damaging hit, giving gold toughness and boss stagger, or having stealth. I also imagine you are taking martyrdom for that big hit so there goes your curio slots.

Cop gets the funny invuln button, double martyrdom, and overhead survival on the same build. Then you get to choose between infinite smite mines or the balance nightmare that is the dog.

Context matters. Dueling Sword?

If you had Perilous Combustion on your build, yes.

I agree certain specific builds and combinations with arbitrator are very strong… probably the best compared to all other classes. Certainly not all (the middle key stone for arbitrator is awful).

Some other classes can maybe out damage it like flame psyker but overall I think the issue is how good arbitrator is without being really bad at anything.

I think the entire game needs to re find its identity and rebalance everything. Ever since the talent trees balance has been broken. It’s a lot harder to balance for.

Havoc isn’t the solution to it. It does cause other things to be relevant. But I do think all the weapons, classes, enemies, spawns, armor, etc. need a new philosophy and approach in terms of numbers. Get some changes to create purpose to the content today.

It doesn’t matter the game is PvE. If 3 people play the strongest build and are meta and you pick a class for any other reason (fun, aesthetics, preference, whatever) it’s going to suck if they kill everything before you can really do much.

Not that you were being hypothetical, but we don’t even have to be.
We (royal usage at least) saw this happen during the Great Space Cop Drop of 2025.
Playing anything but arbites during that first ~2-3weeks was god-emperor awfully boring because there was nothing to kill. Both because of the story mission QP nonsense and the no-weakness DLC philosophy.

it also used to be a skill game, as arbiter you don’t need skill or experience to dominate the highest difficulties. nothing stops an arbite from walking straight through the mission, peak boredom and insta votekick.
