Nerf arbiter

who cares about this ? stop using this post as a private chatroom again please i made a new one bcuz of all the spam

Yeah but this is known info to everyone who isn’t in denial. However the game designers have let a lot of things fester for ages so I’m not sure we’ll get around to those or the dog cop any time soon. We know. We can just hope the late September or October update has some number changes that aren’t pity buffs that do nothing thrown to assweapons.

Yikes, you are really toxic. Kicking someone just for choosing a character? Not nice.

I’ve talked a lot about why an OP meta is bad, but let me go over it one more time

  1. Danger for players at the intended difficulty
Players who are skilled enough to take on Auric can make the game dramatically easier if they use an OP meta, effectively turning it into a ā€œwalking simulator.ā€ This is the biggest issue.

  2. When players below the intended skill level use OP meta
For example, a player at Uprising or Malice level playing Auric won’t drastically affect the overall difficulty.
However, they can attempt challenges they normally couldn’t, which prevents them from developing the necessary play skills and robs them of growth opportunities.

  3. Tendency to rely on meta
Many players jump on the meta without much thought.
As a result, class, weapon, and build diversity is lost.

nerf PG, nerf DS, nerf psyker, nerf Ogryn, nerf relic blade, nerf arbites etc.
There is so many things to nerf…

The current thread is full of exaggerations…

Nah, its about 5% of this game’s total content, which should be toned down

the 5% you see in 90% of times ingame

so basically even if you nerf ā€œso many thingsā€ you do not nerf much at all in terms of what the game has to offer in theory

No matter how well the balance is adjusted, there will inevitably be some backlash. The reason is that the balance has been left unattended for so long that a portion of the player base has had their standard for difficulty raised. Many players who should normally be playing on Heresy or Damnation are now playing on Auric, so even if proper balance adjustments are made, those players will see it as being outside of their standard.

Am I?

or did you write that response without checking what else I wrote, literally 2 messages later?

ok this is what I don’t understand

we can nerf arbites and start fixing the issue, even if it’s just a bit in the big picture
or we can do nothing at all about it because […] ?? I literally don’t know why, you tell me please

Not wana break it for you, but its like DS, this thing its literally balance breaking Pandora Box and Arbites its own can of worms.

You seems to dont undestand what issue Arbites bring to balance.

Compared to rest of the classes Arbites have closely clustered 6 passive thouhgnes regenartion nodes on top of skill tree where Ogryn have 3, psyker 4, veteran 3, zelot 4.

Also dog trivializing dissablers is its own issue.

So like for me Arbites need changes.

Based take

Out of all languages, you have chosen that language of facts

Yet another thread of moaners, who know nothing about game design nor difficulty nor fun are moaning about class that works and not filled with trash nodes.

Maybe i feel like the only way to make these people happy is remove all talents from all classes and force everyone to be lvl 1 with basic abilities.

If you truly seek challenge - go and repeat the run of the redditor who, on video, have beaten havoc 40 with lvl 1 character. Don’t make OP builds and play something else. Simple as

Don’t expect anyone to take your opinions seriously if you act like this

Arbites brings back the game design of the good old days, when games had cheat codes.

Auric hasn’t been ā€œchallengingā€ since at least the end of the locks tbh. But after the battle for tertium update it feels like old damnation, and current damnation feels like old heresy.

I don’t know if that’s the Havoc 40 effect that makes anything bellow feel empty and boring but; If I can hard carry Auric with a meme build on veteran, something about the difficulty itself is different, sure I probably got more experienced as well and whatnot but, still, quickplay difficulties feels very off from what they were a year or so ago.

Not really cheat code, lol.

Arby has a fully functional talent tree. And people mad literally about this only.

And again, if dear screamers would try to actually analize the situations - they would understand that arby is and should be new standart. The game should be adapted to the new talent trees, not the otherwise. Because if you will try to scale down power of current talent tree to match outdated enemies… You will get useless talents trees, full of talents that do not affect anything(Like it is now with veteran). And even if you remove all the talents to ā€œBrInG tHe ChAlLeNge BaCkā€ you would understand that there no-fking-challenge at all. The only thing that changed is you poking helpless crusher with your shiv for minutes instead of seconds.

See, you’ve made this argument of good design before and I will remind you that Zealot has to chainsaw his legs off in order to get 1/3rd the damage bonus the cop gets for breathing. You can have talent trees without tax nodes that don’t also give you double damage and invuln.

Buffing enemies would just make weapons that are already pretty whatever in the current state dumpsters; so that means another round of buffing every weapon in the game.

Havoc is currently crashing because of the sheer amount of enemies spawned so throwing more in is out of the question.

I will push back on this since half the forum seems to have quad-digit playtime.

Auric was at least decently difficult until Battle for Tertium. It was unattainably so for the entirety of my gaming group. Even after BfT it’s still something I had to pay attention to. Most of the nerfing of it comes down to Arbites.

So yeah absolutely nerf Arbites into the ground. It’s pay-to-win, plain and simple. The no-talent runs alone confirm that.
