Right, I don’t take any purples. They’re total waste of points compared to what I could do with splitting points into all 3 branches at the lower end.
That’s how purples should be, investing in those should result in more specialized builds(except vet’s are trash so specializing in any of those is seldomly worth it, aside from meme doublebarrel build).
But that’s also one of the strong points of vet because you’re never pressured to invest into any of those.
Ah yes.
The terrible keystone that grants extra dmg against any tag-able enemy on top of toughness, stamina and constant +12% bonus to dmg against everything for the whole team.
This keystone is only bad for players who do not tag.
Outside of those cases, it is very good.
yes, it’s bad.
that’s a lot of points to do that when I can get extra bonus dmg elsewhere that are not conditional and 2 shot crusher instead of 3. (which I get infinitely stacking toughness regen from, per kill)
it’s bad for people who do tag because the stacks go away if tag ends up on wrong target which happens a lot in specialist waves…etc. modifiers on auric.
I do the same. I agree with your conclusions. But more than that, I cannot play with these broken keystones.
If they would modify them, I could. But I don’t want to swap my weapon every 10 seconds, and I don’t understand marksman… when you move you loose stacks, that stupid. And you cannot even see when you are in the grace period and can move.
Anyways, the trigger is acceptable, but the way it works is not.
Marksman should be done for precision weapons, so for revolver, helbore etc… and specialization for fast firing weapon. But as these keystones are made, it seems that it is the contrary. Anyways, I cannot use them.
You’re right. This keystone is acceptable. But this is the only one.
Must say that I don’t take it cause I see better things to take. (like a +15% dmg vs elites)
if you need to tag to kill the enemy that’s a skill issue in itself.
the gun can be disadvantaged if it has absolutely 0 cleave and thus get blocked by parts of other enemy, or arms(see why boltgun got arm reduction removed).
Nobody said that anyone needs to tag an enemy to kill it.
The tag can be used to get certain 1 shot breakpoints.
And the bonuses to buff the whole team… also not a skill issue.
Just very useful bonuses that allow the team to tank more hits, sprint more and deal more damage.
But keep arguing like that, if you want. It is kinda funny.
Btw.
You can take the tag keystone and still get basically every single bonus dmg node outside of the ones on the bottom right.
VERY being an understatement.
but since i just came back from the “other side of the fence”, where the grass ain´t greener mind you, i opened the same can of worms for “shts and giggles” while on the clock.
speaking of space marine 2, they got equipment locked for certain mission criteria fullfilled.
aka you have to beat at least the highest settings a couple times to kit out your weaponry fully.
that being said, those being up in arms over the fact they finally reinstated a proper difficulty to separate wheat from chaff (all while leaving the second highest fully eligible for weapon upgrade unlocks), are ironically those that wouldn´t be able to finish said setting no matter the equipment.
naturally, my lack of understanding isn´t met with rational arguments, rather the “it´s content therefor i´m entitled to clear it”.
ironically here in darktide we see noobs entering auric maelstrom with green or worse loadout without a care in the world or even totally oblivious to it,
where in space marine 2 they attribute their ineptitude solely to the “lack of proper equipment”
talk about bizzaro world
ps: icing on the cake was a reminder of “not being nice” calling the majority of players “front line grunts” unworthy of carrying “relics” in the first place.
little do they know the full extend of my vocabulary for that topic
Just take both.
Besides, taking the keystone will grant EVERYONE a +12% dmg bonus with basically 100% uptime against EVERYTHING.
As long as you tag things.
Must say that I can’t see why you would play with them… when I check my buff bar, when I tried them, it was not really probant that it was a good choice.
With marksman you get stacks easily, but you loose them faster than you can get them. As a result, the bonus is not really good. And they can up it, it won’t change my mind. It is just situational cause of how the keystone work. I am surely wrong, but this is what happens when I play with it.
Specialization… I don’t see why I should use it. 10 seconds of faster melee speed is great… however, having to swap of weapon every 10 seconds is totally inefficient. I use to run with my ranged gun and switch to melee when needed. But with specialization you will trigger the bonus when you switch… this doesn’t fit how I play.
I don’t want to swap my weapon every 10 seconds, and when I end killing all these enemies waves, I want to swap to the ranged weapon. If I do it, then I loose the bonus.
So again, it sound stupid to use it, especially how I play.
At the end of the day, my main problem with these keystone is always the same. They force you into a gameplay instead of triggering when playing normally.
Well if you actually look at the image, you will notice that the line towards the right side is not lit up.
So you can see that i did not spend any points on the bottom right of the tree.
That and sometimes tagging can produce…unreliable results.
For example if you tag a burster, what does teammate see? Are you asking them to shoot the burster or do you mean “this is mine I’m going to push it do NOT shoot it”?
And sometimes tags are used to find enemies, it would stick to squishy enemy(that extra damage isn’t needed on) and blow the stacks. Congratulations that’s basically 4 skill points down the drain for the potato.
Something like that… In my memory I have also the gold toughness… But can’t remember what I traded for it
(yes at work… so this may be really different than what I have… cause shovel does not need critic nodes… rashad yes it is good… I may have traded that for gold toughness… pretty sure but several days I did not play the veteran)
