The answer is timing. When I initiate a dodge I tap the button in the time window the dodge executes. Remember you can keep dodging despite pressing g. I personally remap grenade to mouse middle button, where tag actually is.
Just remap tag to something like alt.
Having your blitz on your mouse also allows you to pull some insane sniping with throwing knives on zealot.
I also use a mouse with just two side buttons. I use one thumb button for crouch so I can slide spam and take zero damage approaching gunners. The other is for special activation.
I mean… you are telling me to use an aim assist for the controller settings while arguing that you can play with a controller at the same level as someone using KnM… are you aware of the irony here? And then you say that for medium/long range headshot MnK is better… and this is a fps. Am I the only one that is checking the calendar again and again to make sure today is not April 1st? Wtf is going on here?
Yes, it seems playing with a controller with aim assist is comparable to MNK for me so far. I thought that was clear.
Are you talking about a hypothetical situation with no aim assist? MNK would win hands down. In reality, there is aim assist so it makes sense to use that lol like what?
Well, that would be a hard question, 5 years ago I would have told you to buy a Razer Naga or something similar, but I’ve had lots of problems with Razer and I can’t recomend it anymore. But I am sure you can look around online and find something, the one I am using right now has three side buttons and it is enough for me. It’s a Logitech one, and so far I have no complaints.
I was using a Razer controller and headset and also ended up just buying different brands recently of both…I like the new brands much better tbh. Razer isn’t bad, but I am a little surprised the price to “quality” ratio
The point is that if you need to use aim assist with the controller to get similar results it means that it is an inferior controlling scheme (and I really doubt you can get similar results, I gather from what you are writing that you are not that experienced in PC gaming, I bet in a couple of months with KnM you will be outperforming you old self with a controller).
I’ve been playing PC only for 15 years or so. Grew up playing consoles though so I think that’s why I gravitate towards controllers.
I use MnK for everything besides fps and I just started playing fps games like a year ago.
Yea, I’m gonna keep trying the MnK! The left hand movement just throws me off a lot. I need to be constantly moving and I don’t think I’m comfortable enough to hit those other buttons without effort fast enough to make it better than a controller yet. I’m gonna do what Nemy suggested and hope that helps my progression
Ngl, I’m impressed that you are able to play auric maelstrom with a controller. I got a friend that has always played with controller and watching him get into his first fps with MnK back when PUBG launched was a sight to behold. After so much time it comes so naturally that you forget that we are not born knowing how to use it, lol. But, he now says that he plays a lot better with MnK than with a controller.
Imo it is absurd that you think this is about PC gamers elitism or something of the sort, and that said elitism carries such hatred as to not want people that play in consoles to join the PC gaming crowd. Its not very hard to understand that this conversation is just about controller vs MnK and nothing else. Painting PC gamers as some villanous cult that won’t mingle with anyone that plays in another platform is… a bit much, to put it mildly.
Don’t know how I did it, but I doble posted. Sorry.
No lights is a the only thing I refuse to do. It’s just horrible and if you don’t have a light it’s basically impossible. Whoever thought that would be fun didn’t think hard enough
