Never said EVERY console player is inferior. I’ve just had enough bad experiences with them that I do not want to interact with them. I have had good experiences, yes, but the bad far out weigh them.
Also sarcasm. Cause you know, all you said was ‘Git Gud’ after I legit don’t want to be insulted by players I busted my butt for.
So what I’m taking away from this thread is a handful of things.
- Typing in chat is consent for abuse, that’s kinda worrying.
- I am a monster and how dare I get tired of abuse from a select group.
- I shouldn’t play anything more complicated than pong

Victim mentality. Typing in chat is not consent for anything else but communication. Noone said that you are a monster, stop whining. You not being able to do that others can, must be a skill issue. Or everyone else is at fault but you?

This sounds beyond absurd. I honestly believe almost noone thinks this way, dude. I’ve always played both console and PC and I would NEVER play a game like Darktide on console because I KNOW it would be a much worse experience playing with a controller. I bet if there could be an option to just play only with keyboard players 99% of PC players would take it.
Mmmmh, yeah. This is just bullcrap. You mean that with a controller I would be able to do a 180º turn, kill a sniper with a headshot from across the map and turn back again in a reasonable time? No chance in hell. Any shooter plays better with mouse than controller. It is slower to turn around and much harder to do precision shots with a controller, and it’s not even close. Can someone with a controller play better than someone with a mouse? Yes. Is it rare? Very. Would that guy play better if he was using a mouse? Almost guaranteed. Would the other one play worse if he changed to a controller? Almost guaranteed, again.

Please plug in a controller and put settings to:
All sensitivity to 2.0 with aim acceleration on.
Aim assist to light
Exponential curve for everything with 50% strength.
Please report back if you can spin around fast and do the things you don’t think are possible
Edit: I’ve been practicing with a MnK for the last month and I can now do damnation pretty easily with MnK. Not 100% comfortable yet but I’m close I think.
So far, this is my comparison:
MNK beats controller for medium/long range headshots.
Controller beats MNK for melee and dodging/movement
I play with a controller with paddles

Just giving my feedback so far. I just mean that’s my experience so far with it. I feel way better on MnK now than a couple months ago and I feel like it’ll be an interesting comparison if I can get good at both. Then the “good vs bad player” argument goes away. Take one person with the same skill level and compare both. I’m gonna keep on trying with MnK but I was expecting more of a difference tbh

Hey maybe you can help me! my biggest (probably only complaint) with MNK is having to take my fingers off of “wasd” to do reload,blitz, grenades, switch weapons, etc.
I have to stop strafing to do those things! Is there a better way of doing that? Or just gets better with time?
How’s Catachan III Combat Blade? One is clicking mouse, the other one needs to push the trigger for every karking swing.
Eeeeh, that’s blatantly false and you know it. You just dismissed valid arguments with sentences like “this controller skill discrepancy you’re so hell-bent on is negligible at best in pve games. it just is. in pvp, absolutely. but pve?” when talking about a fps this is so out of touch with reality that I don’t know how to adress such idiocy. My controller has 3 settings for triggers:
1.mouse click
2. Half way
3. Pull trigger all the way
I use half way and I actually loved the combat blade! It’s my 2nd favorite weapon (1st is evis)
I’ve only done MnK on my auto gun /evis setup but I don’t think I’m good enough on MnK yet to compare the combat blade between the 2…right now controller would win hands down but I’m going to admit I’m still more comfortable on a controller which is probably the biggest factor
facepalm have you tried binding the reload action to one of your mouse buttons? Or maybe to a key you can reach with your thumb? Like V? or B?

Anyways, my 2 side buttons on my mouse and the special and something else I can’t remember now.
I can’t take my thumb off my spacebar without having the same problem. I need to be dodging constantly or else I’m at a disadvantage when I need to dodge but also do whatever else I need my thumb to do
I guess I could buy a mouse with more side buttons. I think I need more on the mouse tbh. I just have a regular mouse with 2 side buttons. Any recommendations for a better one with more?
