You do realize that if no one opened their mouth to the state of the game and the predatory nature of it, things wouldnt change and would probably get worse right? Just because someone apologized doesnt make them immune to criticism.
I am not going to lie… this is unbelievably underwhelming in light of how long this took “make”. @FatsharkCatfish was the delay due to the final management decisions on this having to be made?
The acknowledgment in itself is fine. Thank you. But what will you do? What does progression mean? Does it mean the gearing at the store? Does this mean the penances? Does this mean the “silo” nature of the characters? Does this mean the overhaul of the weeklies? What does “more rewarding progression loop” mean? Technically you could just make the Emperor’s Gifts just more likely … but is this really what the problem is here?
Please (!) tell us a bit more about why the game is in the state it is. We have heard about “design philosophy”. What does this entail? Will this philosophy be changed based on community feedback??
There seems to be management issues. No update since last year and all that is coming is hotfixes. That’s far too much time talking and not enough action for a game at such a critical juncture.
To not even offer any sort of good will gesture to those that continued to support and hope for the best is such a missed opportunity also.
I have been hardcore into this game since before its launch but now with this announcement I am burnt out and utterly disappointed. It could be so great, but it’s being handled diabolically.
Might come back in a month or so if there is any meaningful update but I know this will further decrease the player base.
I appreciate the degree of reorganization being undertaken in response to community complaints. Frankly, I see a lot of unrealistic expectations here about the difficulty of reorienting a large organization and workload required to implement features. While I am disappointed that other content has been delayed, the community was sending very loud signals that it’s the progression system which requires the most urgent work. I see this as a great sign, and look forward to your coming work.
You have a disastrous lack of engaging content and a monstrously unrewarding gameplay loop. When I started Vermintide, I wanted to get back to it the second I had to hit “quit”. I haven’t played this game in over 2 months and I don’t feel any need to go back to it. Coming from someone with 700 hours in VT2, that’s not a good sign.
I still wish you well and hope you fix your game and make it fun, but you’ve spent so much community goodwill with how this game was handled that I doubt you’ll win many people over (or back).
The system we got is a big s**t. So I dont know how the other one must be. What I know is the end system of V1 and V2. And they were enough good. There is not a single excuse for this.
Do you understand the message you are sending us by not commiting to a simple ROADMAP? If you don’t believe/know/have any idea what you want to do with the game how are we - as your customers - supposed to trust you will deliver? On the other hand once you start ticking those boxes, people will be happy. You need to capitalize on trust that you need to build first.
You are welcome!

Kind of a bummer - no new content for a few months while they figure out crafting? Some new armor and whatnot to grind for would have been enough for me. I’m not sure bug fixes will bring players back.
