Issue Description (Required):
For ages I’ve noticed FPS constantly going down after big updates even if nothing else is changed (regarding to my own game.) Recently I found out that DLSS 2 is not up to date with this game or rather the engine, it used to work fine couple years back but now that we have newer RTX cards and newer versions of DLSS the DLSS 2 is not viable anymore.
What I mean is that it’s not working anymore as it used to, if you*re using DLSS 2 you can get huge FPS boost by disabling it even if you would have the DLSS on extra performance mode which makes the game look porridge.
Maybe now that newer ones are out and FatShark has tried to optimize the game for newer DLSS they have forgot to update optimization for older DLSS versions or something.
Main point here being if you use older DLSS then disable it, not only you get FPS boost but your game will look better.
(And yes, yes. Before anyone comes to say “then why you use such old graphic card that only supports older DLSS” that is not the point of what DLSS version I use but rather how the one I use is working. Besides if I could use better don’t you think I would.)
Anyway, disable it if it’s old model.
As side note: I read some time ago people talking that now days everytime big update comes the game forces you to have Ray Tracing ON even if it shows OFF in your game settings, and the only way to fix it is going to config files to disable it and set the file “read-only” mode.
May you feel like that’s something you could consider to boost your fps possibly feeling like it’s “forced” ON even if it should be OFF go check that out. If you know this is not somethign that affects your rig and fps what ever it’s ON or OFF then just ignore this.
