Can you give us any information? Getting any closer to finding the problem? This crash is game breaking and makes it no point in even trying. Can we expect a fix before release? I want to know if I will be able to play or not.
I’m curious, what is the rational behind my 970 GTX running the game fine, yet my 1080 ti just can’t?
The 970 is paired with an i5 4690k (my old machine, with 16gb of DDR3, no SSD for games & the likes), whereas 1080 has alongside it an i7 10700k, SSDs & far better ram than what was mentioned above.
To clarify, I run Darktide, on both machines with identical settings (the lowest possible) + the 1080 & i7 aren’t faulty as they run every other game just fine- (2077, Witcher 3, Mass Effect Andromeda to name but a few.)
Are both machines getting similar FPS? Higher average FPS seems to be a kicker for crashes, so if your old system runs at a lower average FPS then it’s actually safer for now.
That’s just what I’ve gathered reading through a lot of the information here.
Crashing with DLSS enabled. FSR also crashes but less frequently. I have done all troubleshooting steps in the resolving crashes posts, like reinstalling the C++ libs, verifying game files, clean install of gpu drivers, memory check, system file checker, and disabling overclocks. Same amount of crashing whether on the experimental branch or not.

I dont know if this is helpful, but when my game crashes audio breaks in discord???
The latest path seemingly solved the crashing for me, I’ve had about 40 crashes in my 40 hours of play and so far, the games has been stable for several hours, which is the new high.
At times it feels like it’s about to crash and the game stutters and chokes on itself but then recovers.
I guess that must be the case, then. The FPS is nowhere near similar, the old toaster of a computer can rarely hold 60.
I’ve checked the event log, and yeah, there’s crashes occurring there- only when I try to play Darktide, mind you.

Feels like I have tried everything to fix these crashes. Thought this might do the trick but unfortunately it crashed after a few minutes of being in a mission.

Interesting，If I turn off Cortana, game doesn’t crash frequently.
