The uppercut hits twice, or at least it used to. There is a thread about the attack being weird like so.
I never stated that shallya is any better in that specific case either, just that everything is basically equally bad in such a scenario. The message was that you are praising barkskin unduly.
And
You are repeating what i write at me now <.<
One second is hyperbole, in a pitched fight its not uncommon for there to be anything from 2-5 seconds before help arrives, especially if scattered by gas or a storm. Which is common if playing in certain events or just modded modes.
It does, but, if you get dragged into say 8 attacking slaverats as a squishy you still evaporate, barkskin or not. Hence my stating something like âIf there arent many enemies around, sure, it can helpâ.
Which certainly helps you from getting fully killed off sure, if enemies around are few or staggered, but it does not prevent the âinstantly downâ thing.
Hyperbole again, this is not the case for all weapons/loadouts by any means at all. Many careers have a weapon combo or two that typically doesnt struggle too badly with it but all of them certainly have options that are worse at it.
In a vacuum, yes, as i stated. And against specials like gas, like i stated, if you bothered to read, but, it doesnt help if you get knocked into anything extra with any significance. Even if that is just a lone monk starting a chain.

Cata as a whole is not unfair, but assassins and packmasters, especially when sound ques do not work/play on delay, are. Or just when faced with a lot of armored elites and the special in question just noclips through the whole bunch. Leeches and stormers are better design from this perspective because they are much more telegraphed.
Barkskin is not bad, i´d go as far as to state that is has careers on which is it really good, but those are not the squishy and oftentime ranged ones for whom barkskin struggles to generate any value except in that one case where they get pinned by a lone assassin or such.
