I think this may have been my internet connection causing problems. Nothing to see here.

Issue I played on gamepass not enough ppl there. Bought Steam version today uninstalled gamepass version. Installed steam. Now all i have i cant play the game over and over i Get backend Error/ Error signing in have tried everything in this section nothing works at all. Only option i have is to refund if it does not get fixed.

Going on two weeks for me on steam version. I’d refund if I could.

Since Monday - 02.01.2023 - i get the Backend Error, “Fehler bei der Anmeldung” → “Error at Login?” every time, tried everything google suggested (using GamePass Version):

  • verify installation
  • reinstall
  • disable firewall
  • try VPN
    What is the Problem?

Silence from devs for almost a month. You could try disabling IPV6 connections, some people have worked around it that way.

I also tried changing the DNS Server, no effect.

I think the issue resolved itself, I just got logged in? It must have just been a temporary server issue because when trying to log into a character I got Error 4008 a couple times too

Had it too yesterday and today. Just keep on re-try to login, I think the Login Servers are just “busy” or whatever. Sometimes I need 6-7 re-trys to finally able to login.

Meanwhile some of us are never able to log in…

Kaspersky people, can you tell me which version you’re using? As in, the version number?

I do not have any third party anti-virus. All I have is Windows Defender.

still no login possible, tried serveral times

Issue Description:
Cannot log into the game anymore. It used to work fine.
I tried verifying the cache, and also uninstalling and reinstalling, without avail.
It looks like it comes from a Json error, cf. below.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Game using steam
  2. Click play on the launcher
  3. Skip the introduction movies
  4. Press Space on Screen Menu in order to login
  5. Message appears for a couple of seconds “++ Processing inquisitorial Clearance ++”
  6. Backend Error occurs
