dunno what you’re doing with these patches but it’s getting worse. Crashing at the end of every mission now
Happening for 4 days straight
I tried it, downloaded 2 gigabytes worth of patch, it didn’t solve the problem. I am still unable to play the game I paid for. If this isn’t fixed on launch, I will be demanding a refund. On the off chance this info helps you solve the info: I have attempted playing the game both with and without a VPN. I have been experiencing backend connection errors regardless of what I do. I am at least able to use the character creator, but the game consistently gives me the backend error after I name my character.
EDIT: I found a solution to the problem, removing a space in my characters name. See my other post below!
Backend Error was gone on my Steam Deck after the patch before the most recent, it’s back with the most recent and the beta branch doesn’t help it. While Backend Error was gone I was getting 2007 trying to log in.
I finally got into the game. I can confirm what skyflash said. I had a character with a space in his name, for a character who had both a first and a last name. I kept getting the backend error. I made a character with only one name and I finally got in to game. I created a separate character, and was able to get past the backend error again. So using spaces in names is at least one source of the problem.
I did not know it existed at the time, so unsure. I was able to play pretty well before the patch on the 18th, but since then it’s been impossible to stay in a game.

Ran VPN from multiple countries (NordVPN)

Disabled network adaptors and reset them all to default

Exclusion listed .exe file
Switched from ethernet to wi-fi
Disabled VPN entirely
After each step, the same error occurred.
I have attempted troubleshooting EVERY solution suggested in this forum and every other article or blog I can find. None of them work or even came close to working. The game is less than a week from the full launch and is unplayable. Played for 15 hours flawlessly and then for no reason this error is consistently happening. I have spent close to 5 hours troubleshooting this and nothing. This is a critical issue that has not been fixed, and if has not been fixed will be asking for a refund.

Hi!
I was playing without any errors since the 26th of November.
I even played yesterday night without issues.
Today I simply can not get into the game.
I have checked the integrity files, everything is OK, no update was downloaded today either.

Got to miss the whole beta thanks to this issue. Will we at least be eligible for the beta headgear if we were able to log in at least once?
I recently tried to reinstall the game even though Ive already tried it once before and it did not work that time, but this time I installed it on my C drive instead of one of my backup drive and my launcher has finally gone from just the Darktide logo with only the play button on it to having news and other buttons on it. Im hoping this means my back end error has been fixed but I cant test this until after launch since the beta is down now.
My steam install of Darktide was also on a separate drive from my C. Anyone else with this issue also have their steam library separate from their main drive?
Soooo we are out of beta and live on steam. Has this been fixed and is safe to purchase?

Still receiving Backend error when attempting to connect with a VPN.
Still getting the backend error had the beta for over a week had got 14 hours clocked 4 of those are actually playing the game the other 10 are me not being able to get past the sign in screen, not only that the game doesn’t shut down correctly in steam so I’m forced to restart my PC if I want to attempt to log in to the game again, are we eligible to get a refund given that this problem has persisted through the entire beta and into the full release, I would love to keep the game but I have jumped through every hoop that has been provided and none of them are working , I’m just tired of trying now.
Also wouldn’t mind a refund but have passed the two-hour mark on Steam only to continue having issues upon release.
