Some people put in a lot of effort into carefully crafting and maintaining FOMO and, I betcha, tons of research went into gambling science and predatory practices!
And here you are, asking for all that work to be altered, just so you can have some comfort and access… when spending your own money no less!!
Tsk, the gall of some people on the internets, I say…
You know your cosmetic store is a complete failure when you’re community is begging you to sell more stuff regularly and deliver on basic cosmetic stuff seen in the setting repeatedly (looking at you visored carapace helmets)
Well sister left because of the issues of moving to sweden and their partner’s Health care.
For real though sister gave us the most info we’ve ever gotten from a CM and one out of context post was enough to make everyone think they were terrible. (I was there when it happened the person they were responding to was pearl clutching and was extremely belligerent)
You’d think they would be aware they can literally make more money if they actually sell new things way more often and things the community is screaming for.
I’m guessing they think they can do that and triple dip on ‘existing’ cosmetics, and those cosmetics have a lower overhead compared to new things, so higher profit.
Yeah, it is weird that they’re dripping out recolours and old sets when they have so much stuff sitting in the files.
Optimistically, a chunk of those would be rewards for new penances, pessimistically, they’re probably holding on to the requested ones if they need some emergency cash flow.
A lot is store stuff as people leaked the store image art for the sets
Tho you’d think a lot of the stuff you see the atoma pdf and bots wearing would have been in the penance store by now rather than it just being abandoned for several months.
Well, the vox sets made it into the store, but neither one is a colour I like, so no sale for me. Maybe they can add a Moebian coloured one to penances.
Really love how the zealot gear last cycle was a repeat, so surely the next cycle in two weeks time would be something new.
But nope, over a month of waiting for the store to rotate and another repeat. Wow, really cool.
At this point, the only FOMO is the fear of desired cosmetics never being released in the game’s lifespan.
How goddamn long do we have to wait?
They released the ‘new’ Krieg set right after a massive update that was intended to bring in Xbox players and get PC players to return. It’s pretty transparent that they’re holding onto the uber-popular/meme ones for whenever they make a big update so they can squeeze out as much profit as possible. That or they’re morons who think they lose money if they release the cosmetics they already paid people to make or something.
I mean the Xbox release was like the biggest momentum the game is likely to get for a while.
But they capitalised with it for only one month. And all new Xbox players basically got it for free because their money is apparently better than ours. So you’d think they would release several good sets to try and make the most of the increased player size for the time and drain the Xbox players of their free Aquilas.
Fatshark’s decision making consistently continues to baffle me.
I think their HQ still has lead in the water pipes, because at this point I’m starting to wonder about their decisions, many of which don’t make sense even from the perspective of uber-greedy CEO types.
Exactlly. Unwillingness to forgive the staff just about anything is at an all time high in the Gaming Industry, although it is pre-ceded by years of corporate decisions that were outright hostile, too.
It sucks, because the bad energy is usually dripped out on the wrong type of person.
It’s not just you.
What gets me is not the obvious blunder that happen to any company, but the missed chances they end up having on their hands.
Ironically, the company board seems to have no FOMO at all, so they really do miss out on many chances.
Same here. I have not spoken to anyone who likes it. Yet Fatshark has the numbers comparing, say the profit from the V2 store to this store, maybe it’s better in which case I understand that they stick to it even though I don’t even go there with the Aquillas that were included in my package.
So much around the missions was just so much better in V2. Just the fact that the groups were maintained meant that I actually met people. Here everyone just disbands after a good run.
I’d be curious (and this is slightly off topic), when you meet a good player in a run, do you do more runs or just hope for more good players next run.
