One week premium shop rotation

For the love of the big “E” Fatshark make the premium shop rotate weekly.

At this point everyone and their grandmas have accepted your low quality uninspired lazy cosmetics made of reused and recolours of previous lazy half baked cosmetics; so there is absolutely no point in prolonging each atrocious batch of cosmetics for a week more.

This way players could find something let’s say “interesting” at best sooner and devs should produce the same crap… ehm i mean “premium” cosmetics at a higher rate.

Also every rotation should contain at least one weapon skin. Replacing weapon skin with atrocious overpriced trinkets (like this karking severed hand on your latest rotation) is cheap and lowly.

All this because i really like DT and i would really want to support it aquiring meaningful inspired high quality cosmetics; not this horse crap they are drip feeding us…

Can’t disagree.

The 4 witch fingers taking up 4 slots is ridiculous. I hope no one bought anything this rotation so they actually had to investigate the situation.

the steel legion rotation is the first time since the store opened that an item that wasn’t a hat, backpack, weapon skin or trinket was available to buy outside of the set on the left side of the screen. with how many cosmetics that have had peg leg sound effects added well after they were available for purchase its another great source of stuff you just can’t get now, that you wouldn’t realistically have wanted before. along with the near-constant shuffling of psyker voice hat filters, is this more version control nonsense? which ones do you want to sound cool?

I agree - makes things more interesting for frequent players to see what’s in the shop each week.

You are doing the Emperor’s work brother.

My thoughts exactly. Latest rotation broke every laziness records. It made me think the possibility FS develops DT as their hobby since they seem to not give a kark about support; otherwise they would have released real premium cosmetics.

Ofc this kinda saves my wallet but by the Emperor i truly wish to support this great game. But only if the cosmetic is worthy of the price…

I have to admit that the skins are often recolors which feel a bit cheap.

I often wonder why they don’t make the premium shop change each 2 days even.

It’s still a FOMO kind of shop but yeah right now it’s agonising waiting 2 weeks only to see a skin you’ve already seen and a whole skin slot wasted for a trinket. (The trinkets should be sold in bulks or as a bonus to buying a whole pack, no one loves buying trinkets)

I’ll be honest I also miss the bulk weapon skins… I bought only a few. Should’ve bought the whole set.

If one day they add a bundle with only black painted weapon skins, i might even rip my wallet in half with how fast i will pay for it.

as you say. if they really don’t want to get rid of this fomo tactic (because some counselor told them this works, or tencent wants it, whatever), then at least they could rotate the shop every week instead of every 2 weeks. this way we can buy something more often and old sets can rotate in quicker.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but they have probably vetted, tested and used previously recorded data from other game companies on this matter. Their FOMO 2-week rotation isn’t something someone at Fatshark dreamt up. That’s something with a lot of data behind it, I’m sure.

I do miss the skin packs from Vermintide 2. I know it was a meme for a long time that VT2 did everything better. But even the cash shop was better. 5 skins in one pack, one for each hero in 1 spec. And weapon packs too. I bought several skin and weapon packs, and ALL the DLCs.

In Darktide? I haven’t bought anything because it’s a bit too expensive for pixels, and I play all classes and specs and weapons. So investing that amount of money into something that’s only partially part of my gameplay rotation, feels “meh”.

If FS management had half the brains, this would be the easiest money ever. Also it would be extremely easy to produce. Just plain simple black coloured weapons (maybe with a little golden skull stuck on ‘em just to remember we’ re on 40k setting).

Easiest karking money ever. Hear FS?

You mean to tell me you don’t want more pajama pants, silly hats, or a pair of AdMec trucknuts for your gun? But they’re so quirky and origi…etc, etc, etc.

I mean… just give us Catalogue. Why even ask for faster rotation? Just remove that FOMO. It makes no sense with small playerbase like that. Give us catalogue, a normal premium store.

They did this after the community complained about the FOMO shop in the first place. It almost felt like a punishment because this makes the problem far worse.

I think fatshark pretty quickly realized they weren’t going to be able to upkeep a flow of items weekly. Right before this change there was a couple weeks where the weekly timer hit 0 and then nothing happened which was hilarious.

They don’t even have to. It’s all recolors and it’s all made by a different company. It costs them only the five minutes it takes to rotate the shop manually, if that.

I agree, and I would want a catalogue like most people I’ve seen. Weekly rotations like this post is suggesting would be nice. And like you say it should be possible, especially now that they have a lot of backlog items.

I doubt it’s random indeed…

Business majors are right to think that while looking at data but most often they fail to consider the humane aspect of their decisions… mainly, will the community like their strategy in the long term and will it retain them?

Didn’t it happened at some point too with darktide… I don’t know to which extent on vt2 but i think i remember the catalogue not updating at some point in the game’s beginning

Oh and shoutout to the time the 3rd page was bugged and they pre-released the chem-safe sets a month or so early.

Bought it when it was available in this little 1h… the physics on these coats never got fixed tho.
