right i remember her now. Saw a post about her helping someone with a deleted character (the game hade deleted it by itself near launch) and while she couldnt bring back the character, she did provid the guy with aa new character with higher starting lvl and a good amount of dockets for him/her.
Did Fatshark ever acknowledge this issue? Everybody that I spoke to hate the current rotation system, how slow it is and how bad it is in general, we all would like either a real shop with everything inside like vermintide 2 did ( no fatshark we aren’t dumb and won’t be confused by multiple pages of cosmetic ) or a fast rotation in the worst case 1 page a week or in a better case all 3 pages a week.
Please fatshark, the only thing thats going to happen is you’ll make a lot more money lol
They’re going to say nothing about it. Just like with the ~14000 bonus aquilas, just like with crafting not being terrible, just like everything else. Dead silence.
all they did near launch was remove the timer that was originally there (made no diffrense cus the rotasion is still a thing)
The wait is 2 weeks between the sets, they made it worse by reusing some of the stuff while htey have alot of cool stuff they dont want to add just yet.
Yeah it would be nice with a V2 version of the store.
Its like we want to give them money but they dont want to go the extra effort to make that possible.
(but its probebly on investor lvl reasoning why but still)
I am 100% being honest when I say I feel like the timer was removed not for some malicious reason but that FatShark wasn’t sure if they could reliably update the shop on time.
Still possible it was to incentivize FOMO, but as they say, " Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
You could be very well right. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
I just wish that they had the system from Vermintide 2 where you can pick what you want without having to wait an arbitrary two weeks for a chance for the thing you want to appear in the shop.
I’m not game designer, but I feel like it’d just take like a week or two for a UI designer and programmer to collaborate in reformatting the shop to display more items. It’s probably a bit more or even majorly more complicated than that. But doesn’t seem, from at least an outside perspective, like it’d take that long.
That’s the problem. Mr. Big Corpo doesn’t want that aspect to change and this nifty little presentation told hin that gacha = $ and predatory gacha even = $$$.
“Good for the players and goodwill, you say? Why should I care, my shareholders are happy and the players are playing / buying anyways…”
I remember that timer they got rid of it after it went down to 0 and for a good few weeks after they didn’t add anything new, And removed the timer like a day or two after it hit 0 the first time this was after 3 or 4 shop rotations when it first got added
I’ll offer a better alternative. Allocate most company resources focusing on improving the game and adding content and leave a skeleton crew for the paid shinys.
Also, allow players to earn the premium currency through gameplay. It would most likely be a drip feed, but a drip feed is better than ZERO. Or maybe copy VT2 and make it to where completing challenges awards you with small amounts of premium currency. OR they can just make most of the cosmetics purchasable with our docketts and make special skin packs as DLC like Deep Rock Galactic does. We all know that won’t happen because of FS’s God Emperor Xi Jinping. But we can always dream right?
