There was so much pivoting and redeveloping of systems leading up to and even after release that they didn’t even run the numbers on the %s of itemisation until a bit after release. It gave off the sense that different bits of the same system was being worked on by different teams/people and none of them were talking with each other. The RNG feels like an attempt to stretch out what they had.

They should have delayed. Also it shows you how cynical the whole “Beta” was. Lots of threads were calling for a delay due to all the issues:

This Game Deserves a Delay

This 3 day beta was incredible fun. Delay the game

I’ve spent the better half of this evening unable to play because of “external error” or whatever at the title screen. So I decided to do some reading on the steam forums, reddit and here. Postpone the release or make it early access

Literally the title. In my opinion there is so much missing from this game and so many misguided design descisions present to the point where I implore you to either call it an early access, because that’s what this is gonna be at the 30th November or just postpone the release another year. If this is gonna be the full release state then I guarantee I will not be the only one to refund.
