On closer inspection, I think the only outfit I’ll use for my 4 L30 classes is the Zealot’s one. Maybe the Psyker’s coat or trousers, maybe both. Not that I really play the Psyker, not my cup of tea.* My Ogryn looks best in his current kit.
Why couldn’t the Vet have gotten these boots? They look really good compared to those silly metal Ugg boots.

They are all incredibly ugly, and obvious reskins of existing stuff. It’s value is zero. It’s a massive slap in the face for everyone that struggled through their insanely botched and rushed release, and a year of minimal updates and even less communication.
It not only pales in comparison to the Xbox deal, it’s Fatshark actively (and once again) showing everyone exactly what sort of people they are.
I don’t think the people who work at Fatshark are bad people. But then I understand that the Xbox Gamespass “deal” was a promotion, like all businesses do from time to time.
The vets outfit is just badly propotioned in general imo, atleast the other super shin-guard sets go for an armored Kasrkin look, even if its not my style I appreciate it, but on this set the boots and shoulder pads just stand out as super bulky vs everything else.
I find myself looking at the zealots set wishing I could steal his look instead, could FS just make both outfits wearable by both classes to mix and match? There are other skins like the backpack that can be worn by multiple classes and theyre both guardsman flak armor looking outfits so its not like theyd clash too much…
As it is, the only thing from the entire bundle Im actually using is the Recon Insignia, and that’s mainly because the few other insignias are pretty bland.

Ogryn and Zealot sets are the best either class will ever get.
I kind of hate the chonky boots on Veteran and there isn’t any substitute with the same colour pallette, other than that it’s alright I guess.

I actually like Vet’s bulky shoulder pads since it make him look more intidimating imo.
Yeah without a comms backpack to break up the lines it works perfectly for my lasgun/chainsword basic b*tch vet loadout, because all he has to be is a grunt.
This also lets me save the fancy penance gear festooned with bullets for my autogun loadouts, for lore.
I would argue the bigger slap in the face is the fact that FS in general still refuses to budge in any way on their scummy overpriced cosmetic system.

There are so many cosmetics in the files that people are begging to pay money for. But what this or any other cosmetic is “worth” is in the eye of the beholder.
