Pants: Confessor-Resplendent Arlinna pants cost 900 Aquilas but have more detail. Let’s say inflation happened and the Vanguard pants are also 900 aquilas for the sake of argument.
Grand total:
~ 6600 Aquilas (less if you account the fact that we are getting them in a bundle, not separately)
~ 445k Ordo Dockets
…and a few penances
I still feel we are missing some aquilas there but maybe that’s just me
Considering most of this stuff (except the helmet and backpack) is just vanilla lvl up skins but in color blue. We should’ve had gotten this at launch for buying the game.
Personally i couldnt care less about the xbox deal. But this feels like an insult, i was expecting some fresh cool looking skins, not recolor of the stuff we already had.
I’m away from home right now, would you be able to upload pictures of the whole set for all four of the characters in a reply, please? I’d just really like to see all the full sets zoomed out on each character!
Seeing the final product and having worked in tech industry (enterprise platforms, not gaming ones - so i could be slightly off) I believe the cost of production was 1 sprint (about 2 weeks) for a team of 2-3 people (2 designers / 1 other)
In other words, something something south of 10k USD, in total, for all of us.
Cosmetically, most of these are a downgrade over my current stuff. Which is unfortunate. The frames and emblem are nice though. All up, its nice to have, but Xbox got the better deal.
I think they would have to pay me to use the Veteran trousers and mask. The trousers have those horrible armoured booties that I, just my personal opinion, think look terrible, but they were to be expected. Shame we didn’t get the Zealot’s hood with mask for the Veteran, so no sniping look for those who wanted that.
Like the backpack and the other sets, they’re quite nice, particularly the Zealout top and trousers. They’re understated, not too wild, and in quite a nice colour to my eyes. Backpack is splendid too. Just that Veteran outfit.
Yep, those 9-14k Aquila would have been much better but, hey, its what they decided to give us. I’ll just carry on with my usual Guard uniforms and use this pack for the other classes.
since, most games these days, are licenced out products, and not owned perse,
and there’s no guarantee on logevity of games,
the value of all items are inherently bound, to the value you give wearing them.
just think about Counterstrike’s absurd Skins, some of the more desired ones easily go in the thousands
what would happen if Valve for some reason or another decided tomorrow, we’re closing the whole show?
you would keep the skins in your steam inventory, but would they keep the value, if they couldn’t be worn by anyone? would people buy em for these prices? no obviously not.
Tl:DR in a game without trading skins, if i don’t want to wear the skin, the skin value is 0.
regardless on how i recieved the item, wether bought it or got for free,
the value is purely personal on wether or not you want to put on the skin or not, and a item that will never see the llight of day might as well not exist.
They’re neat but I think it should be viewed as an anniversary promo and not any kind of pearl compensation. After all I told one of my console friends how to earn it, and he told me it worked for him in game this morning. It was also not ‘2022’ for beta players either. Fat Shark still got some actual squaring up to do. Like how the last ‘new’ weapons were more variants 9 months ago.
Ironically I kinda prefer the cleaner look of the Vet torso and gas mask, as well as the Zealot one for my autogun build. Ogryn, yeah, just the mask, and psyker is probably just replacing a Commissary set I already bought.
