Are these just description typos then but they work as intended if I understand you correctly?
Still no fix for sound issues. No optimization for performance.
Sadly not just description bug.
All the blessings (psyker shout is manually set to 9m) get the āclose rangeā setting from one source, which is the proper way to do it, but the value got accidentally changed to 8m which is the same as melee range.
So all the weapon blessings, and there are many, that use that close range value like Fire Frenzy are kneecapped at 8m instead of 15m; easy enough to test in the grinder.
Any chance of a roadmap for what to expect this year? Or at least part of it.
All the best.
Thatās so messed up, I thought it was just the description, Iām getting more mad about the bugs the longer I browse the forum lol
Please revert the change to ambush music! Or at the very least add it as a toggleable setting! Iāll gladly trade a few silent specialists to bathe in the righteous slaughter that is the Darktideās OST more often.
I wonāt. Tired of getting killed because of a silent trapper. Itās a real problem.
When the stims were added to the game it bugged out the non-default controller configurations on Xbox. When loading the game it sort of combines the default and second selected configuration. I use the bumper dodge configuration. Every time start the game, itās bugged again. If I put it back to default then select a new configuration, the binds work correctly.
Iāll test and make a real bug report eventually, but I just started a new job and have to get up at 2:30 am, so Iām barely alive. I also thought someone that worked at Fatsharkās would certainly have caught it since itās been over a month. Also, chorus is also still bugged out and doesnāt activate almost half of the time. Iāll test that as well once I emerge from my coma.
I donāt see how the horde music distracts from specialists anyways, because it never did back on release!
I think darktide has issues playing multiple sound cues at the same time, so often when horde music was playing, special/elite spawn noises just wouldnāt play at all (which has been a major issue since release and was only recently sort of fixed)
The main issue is that the director recently started throwing temper tantrums and spawning enemies in really strange positions, i.e. directly behind players, etc.
I never noticed too many issues before the director got that tweak.
Case in point: Iāve never seen crushers spawn on defensive waves for the ending of Vigil Station⦠but I had one pop out over a grating the other day⦠Forum refuses to allow me to upload the video of it, despite being under 30mbā¦
How exactly is this multiple gigabytes?
Call me paranoid [I grew up in New York], but I canāt shake the feeling it contains more than weāre being told.
āNever attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.ā
Yeah⦠Specialists should only spawn ahead of the player except for events. Having a specialist spawn behind you and effectively insta kill you without warning is a vexing experience.
I remember there was this one time where we had 2 silent Mutants and 2 silent Trappers spawn at the same time directly behind us after we left an elevator in Comms-Plex. Luckily for us, I had a strange urge to turn back around to look at the elevator again and saw all of those greasy MFs spawn right next to the elevator. No one was downed, but it gave us a right scare and it should have never happened.
Nah this has been a problem since at least v2. I call them 'cheat spawns."
Sure, sometimes a bad guy will fall from the ceiling, (which btw, should make a crunch when it lands) and our ātotally ninja crusher ogryn in full plate armorā can do it without a sound⦠but sometimes they just POP into existence, which is aggravating and should be fixed. Problem is itās rare anyone gets it on video, but it DOES happen.
Usually itās not a huge threat unless you are doing a no melee hit pennance, but it is really ⦠annoying⦠that you can never really maintain situational awareness because the game will just pop guys into the corner you checked a microsecond ago.
These days that needs to be reversed. Too many play stupid when caught, and for now, it works.
I just mean that itās gotten particularly common these days. It still happened back then, yes, but when it did happen it was a rather noteworthy occurrence. Nowadays, Specialists can spawn directly behind you no matter where you are, and they almost do it every round.
I second that motion.
