No… I say that the definition he uses could label numeric UI as a cheat, and even the force block mod.
And if he does not point them out as cheats, it is only a matter of his appreciation.
This has been the accepted definition for decades, the cheaters obviously disagree because they want to cheat. Others seem to be completely apathetic, and that’s fine, I guess.
Others I suspect have IRL issues that prevent them from differentiating between right and wrong, and to your earlier ancillary point, if there were no laws they’d run amok. To continue that analogy, there are no laws here, so many run amok.
The reason I brought it up is because Badwin did, he thought it was cheat and for him cheese=cheat.
I see how it can be considered unbalanced, as Badwin said, the VFX are part of the balance. It doesn’t cause any headaches for me so likely people removing this and by extension the shield bubble are using it to gain an advantage. To @alsozara point though, some VFX are so over-the-top obnoxious that they are begging to be disabled (if they can’t be swapped)
But IMHO this doesn’t cross the line the full fledged cheat like ESP mods do, again it can be considered unbalanced, I concede to Badwin’s point.
Contrary to how you’re trying to paint me, I’m not a purist nor see things as black and white, but that doesn’t mean I don’t see lines being crossed and degrees of severity, most of us can even though some pretend not to for selfish reasons.
See “I’ll know it when I see it” and I’ve already listed several criteria.
Trying to blur the lines cross, use false equivalencies (like here) etc. are all transparent (ha) logical fallacies and cheap parlour tricks, they reek of insincerity. The other two still skirt around so many issues and repeatedly fail to address the points they themselves raised,e.g. is my mod the same level as an ESP mod?

There are… the rules given by Fatshark. But you don’t accept them.
I can understand if you need clarification or even push for new rules, but you cannot say that something is a cheat in a PvE environment when the developers don’t label it as such.

Last time, you defined it as “something that a human cannot do in the normal game without a mod.” With this definition, more than 50% of the mods would be considered cheats. You always claim that it’s obvious… but it’s not.

From my perspective (which could be wrong, and I assure you I’m trying to understand your position), it seems like you define as a cheat anything that gives an unfair advantage from your own point of view. I don’t see any clear line that you’ve given us to understand how you determine what qualifies as a cheat (in your opinion) and what does not.
And I repeat that you refuse to acknowledge that others may see things differently.
