As much as I want to get into the difference between “no -” and “little choice”, it’s not really important.
This sounds like we’re arguing past one another and are combining / arguing for more than one issue at once.
If it’s only about hating when players pick up grims without asking, the solution is as simple as not playing missions where grims are a side objective.
There also isn’t so little choice that you’re forced into missions with grims.
That’s the truth about that.
But then there is the overarching issue of how DTs mission select works, in that it doesn’t give you free choice. It only gives you little choice.
So if you’re somewhat picky to begin with AND hate the grim conduct issue as well, you’re mission select is far more limited than someone that doesn’t have issues with either or both.
I’m not a fan of DTs mission select but if I want to avoid something, I usually find a fine alternative. That not everyone shares this experience, I can see.
The solution was discovered years ago in VT2 and it was covered here more than once, that thing you said was “extremely rare” there, that’s the only real meaningful player agency we have on Aurics+ as in Cata.
It’s mostly rare in DT (thankfully), it should be extremely rare here too and I’m at a loss as to why some people choosing this hill to die on.

So you say this, but are against solo corruption for a SECONDARY non-essential part of playing a map…double standards because it’s okay, gee wizz.
Why not, FS can do this all they want, when they change the mechanic to solo corruption. You want playing the game to be more difficult don’t you for those who wish to par-take in a SECONDARY part of that game?
