Game won't load past the Easy Anti-Cheat Launcher Loading Screen

This issue started happening after the new hotfix was applied on 11/22/2022. I can no longer launch the game anymore. I’ve tried verifying integrity of the game files through Steam and there was no issues there. I’ve also tried deleting the Darktide folder in appdata and it didn’t fix the issue either.

Also I wanted to note that it takes MUCH longer for the Easy Anti-Cheat to finish loading. It went from taking approximately 5-10 seconds, pre (11/22/2022) hotfix patch to now taking a minute to sometimes 5 minutes loading.

  1. Manually set the darktide.exe to use your GTX2060 card via the nvidia control panel
  2. Add whitelisting in your anti-virus or disable your anti-virus entirely

Yes, I manually set darktide.exe to use my GTX2060 card via the NVIDIA control panel.

The problem still persists despite having done this.

I use Microsoft Defender/Windows Security. I tried turning it off and it doesn’t do anything to remedy this issue.

I actually managed to load into the game right now, but I’m getting constant Error 4008 and massive lag and desync when I do enter a mission, before I promptly disconnect within the first 1-5 minutes.

If you’re getting into the game and getting the 4008 error. You’re likely in this boat

Please post in this thread and upload your console and launcher logs as well

Yes, having checked the thread, it is in line with the problems I’ve been having with the game since closed beta.

But I believe this new issue with Easy Anti-Cheat Launcher is a new problem, unrelated to that one.

Getting the same error, started happening yesterday. No changes made, only use Windows Defender/Malware Bytes

Verified files, error persisted
Reinstalled, error persisted

The actual error code switches between failed to create object and something else.

Im currently dealing with this issue as well. Ive tried countless and countless different remedies and nothing to help fix this issue. I purchased the game as of the 26th of November and still cant play the game.

Hello I purchased Darktide on November 26th, 2022. I was able to get into the game and complete the prologue. The next day however, I tried to open the game and couldn’t ever get in. No matter the plethora of attempts and trying to solve the issue the problem persists. To break it down, I press play on steam, then the launcher opens, I continue to push play on the launcher, then the loading prompt comes up with the easy anti cheat at the bottom. The loading bar on that pop up after hitting play in the launcher will go all the way and even complete, and then the pop up disappears, and in steam it says im still in the game, when it is no where to be found. I ALT tab and cant find it. I’m looking forward to playing the game and have been waiting for a long time. If there is any help you can provide, Im very eager to try! (I added a crash dump file i located within the files, hopefully it will be of some assistance)
