I hit play on steam, nothing changes, and button goes back to green. I have uninstalled Vermintide 2, deleted its Appdata, verified game files upwards of 3 times, reinstalled Easy Anticheat, and it still won’t work. It seems the problem is with easy anticheat, but I let it, vermintide2.exe, and vermintide2dx12.exe through both controlled follders and firewall. I am stumped. By the way, this console log was made by running the exe from the files, not through steam, as no console log was being made that way. When I launch vermintide 2 in this method, it loads a black screen that stays like that forever.
Edit: This seems to be the core problem: [Boot] EOSSDK Platform Properties [OS=Windows/10.0.26100.4484.64bit, ClientId=xyza7891MMpPLuC4PWaa9GOuBmNAmoNw, ProductId=e020ce70c5b74c38805c6f3f910bac22, SandboxId=967b3f2dd27a4c9aa0a733006e912eb6, DeploymentId=542204b9b24c44dea400fb92b1fb9271, ProductName=Warhammer: Vermintide 2, ProductVersion=1.0.0, IsServer=false, Flags=DisableOverlay+DisableSocialOverlay]

great, the temporary launcher workaround worked, thank you! ngl im a bit miffed as that was the only solution I didnt try. 2 things; 1. It loads but its incredibly laggy with i reckon less than 20 fps when i typically run it above 60. 2. It says its a temporary workaround, what should I do now? running the normal version with the launcher still doesn’t work. Thank you for your help, and have a nice day!
Got it. Now the graphics are back and the fps is back, thankfully. Last thing; how do I make it start in modded realm? i exclusively play modded, and it will only start in offical(this is with the launcher workaround). Is there a launch option to autodirect me to the modded realm?
Unfortunately Modded realm isn’t possible through the launcher workaround. As without the launcher it isn’t easy to toggle mods on/off, or change the launch order.
Just to add to this, one of our developers has implemented additional options to the launcher workaround so that Modded realm can now be selected (it may require a Steam restart to be visible). Unfortunately, this does come with limitations in that mods cannot be added or re-arranged, but at the very least it does allow access to Modded realm now.
As the launcher pulls data from Steam and fills the user_settings.config file in a very specific way, in order for mods to be added/re-arranged etc. it would require reconstructing a lot of data manually and a single mistake would cause the engine to reset all settings. Due to this, we can’t really provide any clear or simple instructions on how to manually edit mods when using the launcher bypass.
Ok I got time to try it, and when I run Bypass Launcher(modded) or Bypass Launcher DX12 (modded) I get a Backend Rejected the Challange Response error, error code -1. This is when it says its logging me in. Thank you for your continued help!
I will be trying a windows reinstall today, and ill let you know if that fixes this problem. Edit: it canceled itself for some reason
I see, could you please provide your console log (if one is generated) from a session that you try to use the Modded realm launcher bypass and encounter the Backend Rejected the Challenge Response error?
