Game does not load after launcher start

I suspect this is EAC-related. Please ensure you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat. You’ll need to add the following exceptions:

• vermintide2.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
• vermintide2_dx12.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12
• EasyAntiCheat.exe in \Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat

Failing this, please try a Selective Startup which disables background applications in case this is the cause:

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
5. Reboot your PC
6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

I’ve done the above, and no such luck.

I have also reinstalled the anti-cheat, deleted the certificates, and reinstalled vermantide as well and have had no such luck.

I can play Darktide without any issues.

Looking at the list of related issues, are the devs aware of this, and is there an ETA on a fix?

Sorry to hear that. This issue isn’t widely reported is likely caused by something local on your system. Either settings, drivers, a conflicting program etc. it isn’t something the development team can specifically fix

I recommend trying the following also:

• Ensure you have latest Windows updates installed
• Reinstall your GPU drivers
• Perform a clean reinstallation of Vermintide 2, which involves deleting your AppData:

Unfortunately, this will require some trial and error and these suggestions are shots in the dark, but hopefully something will stick. Please let me know how it goes.
