Issue Type (Required):
Crash - During Play
Issue Description (Required):
During gameplay the game just crashes to desktop with no apparent reason and I am really confused as to why. It happens without warning during gameplay, the game just shutting down and showing the send error report option. Earlier this week the game ran just fine.
Temperatures for both GPU and CPU are within limits, RAM was tested with both windows and 3rd party software and didn’t present any errors. Validated files, updated drivers (even used DDU to do clean reinstall of the GPU driver, reinstalled the game, reinstalled steam, reset windows. At this point I am really confused as to why this is happening and would help to understand if this is some hardware or software issue.
I would upload more logs but, well, they were deleted with the windows reset.
Thank you for your attention.

Sorry to hear this, it sounds like you’ve done as much as you could! This is a nondescript Access Violation which unfortunately doesn’t provide many clues, everything appears to be in order otherwise.
I understand you’ve already reinstalled Darktide, and this might not be a viable option, but are you able to install it on to another drive?
I changed the game files to another driver and the crash still occurs, did manage to grab an error reporti but is most liekly an hardware issue I think at this point.

Hmmm, have you tried our experimental build? It doesn’t take long to switch over and is certainly worth a shot:
- Open the Steam client
- Right-click Darktide in your Steam library
- Select ‘Properties’
- Select ‘Betas’
- Enter the password
cTYPtKTsfMDsLHAV
- Select ‘Check Code’
- Select the ‘None’ dropdown, and
experimental - Experimental Builds should now be within the list
- Select
experimental - Experimental Builds
- Close the pop-up window
- A download should now start
Certainely worth a shot, I’ll try it and report what happens.
Played three full games without crashing so that seems to have worked!
Thank you for the help!
Nevermind, it persisits, I’ll just take the pc to the local shop when I can
