Female Psyker's Armour looks weird

To paraphrase forum saying:

in grim dark future of minium viable product, there is only body type 2
And even that is on shaky grounds.

To all “muh boobplate bad coz impractical” fellas. The Imperium abhors practicality. Almost any costume is not battle worthy. From all those loose tubings around, through random skulls, ending on lit candles on shoulders.
Even besides costumes, Imperium thrives on absurde looks, does ships really need big ass sculptures outside the ships where those are almost never seen?

Blessed be the Air Conditioner!

Superstitious and ignorant too, The Battle Sisters thrive on faith not practicality and so would my Zealot!

Certain armor types…would allow for more surface area to blessed seal placements…

I’m not 100%, but I don’t think there are actually 2 different models. Instead, as you mentioned in your followup, the male/female body types just influence the rigging/weights/positioning of the armor so female models get different waists/hips proportions (and not much else).

Warhammer isn’t about a common sense. It’s 80’s heavy metal isnpired sci-fi-ish fantasy in its dna. From Frank Frazetta era.

Eroticism just as violence has a big place in 40k visual representation. Just like in any other thing from 80-90s. Diablo 2 for example.

BDSM styled half naked moaning in extaz religious zealots chiks with red lipstick doesn’t make sense. Yet it is a pure Warhammer.

am i one of the only ones that actually prefers armors when they make sense? that thinks female armor looks A LOT better when it isnt made to look sexy and shi.

gooner ahh community i swear.

Not everyone is trying to goon. My eyes see a mismatch and my ocd ramps up because of the incongruous imagery.

Armor with lighted candles on it do not make sense.

Chest armor for women in which most breasts would be compressed does not make sense.

That argument doesn’t hold up.

Ah, that’s what Scryer’s Gaze really is for!

I honestly hate most of psyker’s armor. All my mages in all games are very light dressed. I don’t mean half-naked, I mean light clothes that won’t restrict their movement. Even battle mages would at best have some patches of chainmail somewhere or its equivalent, top. And there is just only a few options in DT that match that description. And remember that you still need to end up with some colour pattern that is appeasing to your eye. And color selection, and the way FS decided to go about colors and gear (making items of separate colors separate items..wow, that’s… original  ) - all those exacerbate the issue. Creating interesting look in the game is a freaking challenge. That’s why you see people running same looks often (and same faces, but that’s another issue altogether).

And yet what we get as reward for the event? A frame lol, as if anybody needs them. Rant over

It’s totally not. When you have at best two female faces that don’t make you puke to select from, most of players will be using them. And it kinda ruins the whole point of customization when what you create is used by every other dude you meet later (I’m not even joking, the face I use on all female operatives is used by half of female characters I meet, with the very same haircut usually, because those are mostly meh too). When you have 10 bad options and 2 okayish ones, it’s not really “a choice”.

I found these in the Grim Dark Future where there is nothing but WARRRR….

Pity that is in SM2 and not DT.

mmhmm starting to wonder if they could even implement Sister’s of Battle armor sets.

That’s a dangerously high amount of logic you’re using there. Some might even call that… heretical.

Possibly not due to they actually look like a female!

Basically what if saber made darktide?

The thing is, if you make characters not conventionally attractive you must make it cool looking or interesting. Not just like random alcoholics living in abandoned industrial area. Because no matter how you will try to justify it with theme, most people don’t want to play as ugly character, rough battle hardened - sure, but it should be charizmatic. There should be aura and presence to feel that “yeap, this is THE character”.

With males i can hide half of the face with beard atleast.

Also anyone who says “uh oh you are coomers” probably never seen a girl who plays videogames, stuff they create in Skyrim, Sims or CP2077 is gooner bait level sometimes.

Or you can check RT custom portraits people are using (mostly ai slop tbh). But noone is using ugly portraits. because it’s not a fantasy for majority of people.

And Emperor bless based Owlecat with their gigachads, hotties and just charismatic rough bastards in Rogue Trader.

There was never any other kind of attractive. It’s a term for people who aren’t attractive to feel better about themselves.
