Fatshark should be on red alert

People are running away from this game and it seems like nothing is being done to keep people.
SpaceMarine2 is going to eat Fatsharks lunch 100%.

If space marine 2 takes away their casual pay piggies and keeps them

It’s over
We can hope fatshark do a bungie and actually stop resting on their lauals when threatened by financial collapse from their failures and actually have to cook

But this is still fatshark we’re talking about, they hate the idea of putting in anything then the slightest most pathetic effort when it comes to doing anything than the bare minimum for making money.

I was actually scarred from seeing it.

Oh, wait, no that’s an ice cream stain. Disregard!

It wasn’t adding anything positive to the conversation, so we just yoinked it out of existence. Carry on.

I can’t wait to check it out either. I’m not holding my breath though.

At this point I’m convinced Ol_Jakal is a Tzeentchian Horror trying to force his way into our reality.

Does SM2 even have microtransactions though?
My understanding is that Microtransaction Whales specifically play games where they can put extra money, because they enjoy putting down further cash for ingame advantages or cosmetics.

So whales basically only swim to the Gayming sea where there is deep microtransaction storefronts.

They’ve come out and said plainly that they will not have an MTX store and all future content updates will be free.

Searching "star wars" on Reddit, r/prequelmemes comes before r/starwars ...

Oh no. I’ve seen games that do that thing where they call it “DLC” for the sake of saying so because it’s not an in-game cash shop. It’s out of game, so they call it “DLC” Let’s hope that they do it in bundles to be less predatory.

I think the key difference is you get rid of the premium currency part. That’s where the bloated costs for the players tend to originate. Better they list cosmetics with actual $ amounts on the steam store and eliminate the murkiness of buying a made up currency with your real money. It’s a solid step in a better direction than most other games.

Cant argue with that. Let’s hope they keep their costs reasonable. They can still botch that. Though given the level of customization that I’ve seen, it’d be pretty hard to do so.,… or really easily (Hey Halo Infinite!)

Oh wait… Halo did do something close to that…!

I suppose they could try but it’d be harder to get away with it when people can directly see the monetary cost without any obstruction. Time will tell.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I’m on the reserved hype train for SM2. been looking forward to it for a while now.
