Oh, I also have that experience.
Someone tested it. Yes. the no recoil mod is completely useless for now.
All Hail Soul Forge King
This is literally the reason I started modding Darktide.
All the BS QoL things FS can’t be bothered to do, changing your ui, showing team mates ammo, making crafting more bearable when that mattered (buy in bulk is still the MVP mod for crafting in tbose dark times) were bearable.
But the stupid greyscale effect is beyond disgusting.
I don’t understand if it’s supposed to show that you’re at 1 wound without looking at your healthbar (which if it is, I don’t need it FS I can count to three), or a debuff (in which case that’s really stupid to make your game that much uglier), but no matter the case I will do anything in my power to get rid of it.
I can’t imagine being a content creator, and having to have large sections of gameplay being hard to watch because of that.
I don’t think this is anything
No recoil can only be used in single player mode and does not take effect online (because the calculation of recoil is on the official network server, not the local computer)
Automatic aiming is a feature of the game itself, which assigns the functions of the controller to the keyboard and mouse (and in fact, it is not very user-friendly because it makes it very difficult for players to attack the enemy’s head. When the camera moves to the enemy’s body, it slows down and can only aim at the body for attack)
Radar wallhack visual effects removed
nono its because of hEaLTh reasons my eyes strain, photo sensitivity!
Said that people throw excuses because of Spidey Sense, then is the first one saying them.
Which is a bit incoherent
And recently gpk added another cheat radar mod, where you can see way better what you target with dash ult, highlighting them way more noticeably just like the effect in havoc. Sadly not even good to put a color slider. But easy to fix that.
But looks good at least cause some qol for zealot since ult lock was not very visible.
And yes that mod you created Badwin is good, the invite inside missions were a bit annoying.
Came in late, what was this one? Or was it exactly what it sounds like?
The mod enabled aim assist feature that is only available for controller players or maybe console players, I’m unsure how it works.
People once again are crying over nothing.
Darktide’s aim assist is pretty bad and while it might help lock to single targets it doesn’t help you at all to make headshots. Unless you have some kind of disability, you’re clearly better of aiming with the mouse yourself.
sigh That probably should’ve been my first guess. Thank you for the explanation.
The fact that this “mod” was deleted so quickly, show that you are wrong.
Funny how the decode/tree/train “helpers” are still up though (while appropriately being tagged as actual cheats).
For what it’s worth there’s a new cheaty mod up:
Autoquell in particular keeps popping up and getting deleted off the nexus.
Well, it proves him right. Fatshark wasn’t involved, people reported it on Nexus, and then Nexus deleted it.
Take away being: If you want a cheat gone (or at least not as publicly findable), report it on the Nexus page with explanation that it’s against the Darktide modding policy. Fatshark devs stated that they basically approve of this self regulation method.
No, it doesn’t.
The deal is:
- FatShark set the rules.
- The Modders/Modding Discord is in communication with FatShark & host Mods on Nexus.
- Nexus deletes Mods FatShark disagrees with.
- People are encouraged to report Mods they see as breaking the rules.
Nexus either checks back with FatShark, if the Mod is breaking the rules
OR if it’s a clear cut case, they just delete the Mod.
So the community IS self-policing and Nexus is the Modders/FatSharks agreed up hosting place.
It’s a gentleman’s agreement and it works.
@gpkgpk and you never really explained what doesn’t work about it.
You just say it doesn’t work…
But this case is a prime example that it does.
You never presented a solution for the “issue”, you seem to have with the system.
Besides that there really isn’t an issue to begin with, but that’s just that…
You made this part up entirely. They might, but they also might not. It’s completely up to Nexus what they delete. All I know is when I report stuff sometimes it gets taken down. So when I view something as cheating, I report it.
That’s how “self regulation” works and that’s what Fatshark wants us to do. Assuming they’re involved behind the scenes is wacky; they have no jurisidction over nexusmods. They also never stated that the nexus is an agreed upon hosting place. All of those claims are made up. It’s just a hosting website that many modders use because it’s convenient, there is nothing official about it.
No, I didn’t.
You don’t seem to understand, what a gentlemen’s agreement is.
There is nothing official about the entire concept…
FS has asked Nexus/the Modders to tank Mods before and they did it.
EDIT: Also great how you ignored my question:
Any proof of this? The actual quote I’m aware of is lopus saying it’s fine if the community self-regulates without Fatshark involvement. To my knowledge, Fatshark is not affiliated or working together with the Nexus in any way whatsoever.
As for the dodging your question part I’m not gpk btw.
I gave you proof last time.
You ignored it, like you ignore my question, now.
I’m not doing that again.
I’m pretty sure I could write whatever I wanted and you still wouldn’t accept it.
I think you dreamed that up. You didn’t give me proof of Fatshark working together with the Nexus because it doesn’t exist. They don’t, Fatshark is completely unaffiliated with the Nexus to my knowledge but if you want you can ping Lopus on the modding discord and get him to clarify, I personally wouldn’t want to bother him with such a question though.
I’ll acknowledge I’m wrong when there’s proof, but I have not seen proof. It’s not a reasonable assumption either, these are two completely different entities.
We have been at this point before.
The “proof” you want isn’t an existing statement I could link you too.
IT’s ACTIONS and INTERACTIONS between FS/Modders/Nexus.
FatShark wanted certain Mods gone. Nexus deleted them.
FatShark said “No” to certain Mods/Mod-Ideas on M-Discord.
They stop the development there.
If you can’t understand what a “GENTELMEN’S AGREEMENT” is…
I can’t help you.
