We’re fighting nurgle traitors + admonition who worships demons. So where are the demons. We see Beasts of nurgle, chaos spawn, the growth demons so where are the swarms of nurglings, plaguebearers, rot flies and the rest of nurgle daemonic forces?
By now the war has been going on for more than long enough for these to have been summoned so it’d be really great if you they could be implemented + more filthy, deamon corrupted environments.
Eh, he is about demons aswell, just like any other Chaos God. Because it’s a tabletop game, and you have chaos demons troops. I would say Nurgle is even more about demons, considering he kinda loves his creations, there is a reason why it’s Papa Nurgle, or Grandfather.
Ku’gath was a nurglig that sits on Nurgle’s shoulder, then he accidentaly droped in the cauldron, soacked all the plague brew and become a great unclean one. Nurgle reacted as “lol funny af, you are perfect now”
Either way you can say Tzeentch isn’t about demons, but changes.
B-b-but… GW needs to pitch Age of Slopmar…But realistically probably not gonna be AoS, cause AoS has a weak representation in media. Unlike 40k and even FB it brings 0 marketing value.
If they release a new Title will it be largely abandonded aside from drip-fed Updates once in a blue moon and spending the first like 2-3 years after release bringing it to a point it should have been at launch as well?
Not really looking forward to a new Game given how DT got/gets treated
So basically it’s a setting that appeared after the end of Battle Fantasy (Via the End Time), mainly because artists and such still wanted to do fantasy miniatures and stuff but Battle Fantasy having been quite unprofitable.
Many people consider AoS as having killed BF, which again, no, profits being down did, and dislike AoS cause there are Stormcast (Which at the beginning really just looked like Fantasy Space Marines, now they’re quite cooler), and cause some of their factions or character have died off.
Yes, it’s a good TT, and the miniatures are great. The lore isn’t bad either, do dislike some of the Planar stuff but for the most part it’s a setting worth exploring.
The last narrative level was us stopping the Ritual, A change of power internally (Wolfer turncoating again and The Twin lady embracing papa). So we essentially are led to believe we stopped the “first big” Chaos incursion. I think us keeping a thumb on preventing demons is a great story beat and also a great reason why there are not more demons.
Also, there is an Inquisitor on the planet probably fighting said Demons.
Rot Flies ,I (for one) am ok not having to kill giant misquitos in game .
Honestly Nurgle has the best daemons besides Khorne because the other options are androgynous titty monsters and bird things. Big fat leaking gut antler head dudes with poop-devouring grins is peak.
Doesn’t the Game hint at the Death Guard being involved? Theres some Objects on Maps which are unique Death Guard Models on the Tabletop
But us fighting them would be to much. But i think lesser Demons would be a great addition as Enemies; the Dark Communion imo should have had lesser Demons at the end turning up and we already have Demons in the Game with Beasts of Nurgle and Chaos Spawn as Bosses.
Rot Flies would be amazing new Bosses but only on open Maps with enough Space and made like flying Bosses in other Games where they occasionally go down to be attacked with Melee
These ? They’re more about Nurgle than DG (its just that 40k is so SM centric that Chaos is mostly SM.
FS has already stated before that they don’t want to have (C)SM in Darktide at all.
If they were present as Monsters, they wouldn’t be that strange and we could kill some without breaking any part of the lore.
Tbh, I feel like Khorne/Slaanesh/Tzeentch really ought to recieve a big update for their lesser Daemons, both for 40k and AoS/BF, Nurgle has the most characterised Lesser Daemons
