Enemy varieties

Yeah we could have individual CSM as Boss-Enemies w/o breaking Lore; plenty of cases of IG beating CSM and i think an Ogryn can even defeat a Space Marine and a single Krak Grenade can do so too - they are powerful but not as much as people think they are. Gaunts Ghost also beat even numerous CSM. IG often fighting against Tyranids, Orks and Co. in Lore and winning even w/o help of Astartes too.

Yes and yes. But don’t need CSM / SM in the Game. But more Enemy Variety for the Nurgle Cultists + lesser Demons and new Enemy Faction like Blood Pact, Genestealers or so would fit and be very much welcome.

I think Khornes Demon are fine and look cool. Slaanesh and Tzeentch Demons i simply don’t find their Design on par with Khornes and Nurgles and maybe its also the Colours like in Total War i don’t like Slaanesh and Tzeentch at all even tho Tzeentch is my favourite Chaosgod. Khorne and Nurgle Demons just look so much better and on the field too with the Red / Green just is more appealing than the Pink/Violet and Blue

Rules-wise the TT is much better than old FB, both in terms of balance and design. Lore sucks, yes, but you can ignore it and play just with the old minis/factions. At least that’s how we did in the TT simulator.

I kinda hate how every WH game is forced to have chaos gods specific demons and represent TT minis. Cause lorewise chaos demons can be manifested in a very lovecraftian-eldritch form.

And even when it’s a chaos spawn, it’s mostly the same type in every game.

More bodyhorror/The Thing stuff needed.

Previous World Eaters codex art also has cool creatures

Also oldschool FB Slaanesh demons were cool (Keeper of secrets atleast). Basicaly Adrian Smith’s depiction of chaos is peak.

Tbh I’d really prefer to keep to localised forces that turned to Chaos than hidden Genestealers.

But both could easily work, though Blood Pact might feel redundant with the Scab (can be broken down into Red Scab).

Instead I’d prefer to see Imperial factions that then turn to Chaos:

  • Khornate Enforcers: Exiting their Penal Hive, using Convicts as melee base force
→ Appearance themed on bloodied Enforcers (Black Enforcer armour as base), mixed in with Corpse Grinder Gangs
→ Groaner equivalent being civilians that are infected by a rabies/vampire-ghoul like thing (So looking emaciated, blood on their mouth…)
→ Monsters: Using Sanctionner Automata (Assault Ram and Concussion Cannon variants), Exalted /Alpha Hound of Khorne (Maybe bicephal, but quite bigger than Hounds)…
  • Tzeentchian Nomads: The true owner of the Hives, thrown eons ago to the wilderness
→ Appearance themed on Ash Waste Nomads, but blue and utilizing crystals instead of Insect bits
→ Groaner equivalent being civilians that are being puppetted (Like Vilitch’s troops, so blue fiery eyes)
    → Monster: Flamer of Tzeentch…

Slaanesh I have no real idea yet

At this point, it feels like everyone wants something different.

:joy:

About the giant flies… would be annoying to kill them.

I like this ones (I know they are in Darktide, but didn’t find any image):

But I see them few times, I want to see them more.
