Which is why it isn’t giving something away that people already bought. The current grey and blue variants of the Krieg set are different. People that bought the grey set didn’t get a refund when they added the blue set. Why would they be entitled to a refund now if they added a black one? That makes no sense.

Whatever. I still think there’s a way to add this as an earnable cosmetic in-game and if Fatshark wants to monetize that then they can find a way that fits their vision of the game. So we can just agree to disagree on that since your lack of patience means you don’t see the appeal of enjoying playing the actual game and just want to receive non-rewards immediately.
They should still add a black recolor at the very least. Whether they do that in such a way that appeals to the sensibilities of a child with a credit card or through fun gameplay and engaging in already existing reward structures. As it is, the black recolor does not exist in-game, despite the cover art making it appear so.
The Krieg sets are ugly as sin whether they are bought by funny money (aquilas) or given away for free through challenges.
Also; although I personally think that they look ugly, lots of people want to represent Krieg and Kaskrin (the two most overrated regiments btw) so it would have been a bit loss in revenue for Fatshark to give them away for free.
They sold that too, you just understood the purpose of the store. Its not so 40k tourists can say ‘look! This mission has trenches! That means I deserve Krieg stuff without buying!’ Its to make money. People buying grey krieg having the option to also buy blue krieg is done to make money.
If you care that much, buy it before it goes. I can’t even imagine caring this much but also it having to be free. What is this level of deranged entitlement? Buy it if you want it, or ignore it because cosmetics do literally nothing.
Alas…they would be more compelling if they were actual Krieg cosmetics. 
The problem is, as they are, they’re a Chinesium digital sweatshop artist’s best rendition of someone’s Comic-Con Krieg Cosplay made from random 20th century army surplus kit.
Almost everything from the Greatcoat cut/tailoring to the gasmask and gear webbing (and especially the absurdly oversized chest rebreather unit on the Veteran) is simply…wrong, and unrepresentative of either the original Forgeworld resin miniatures or the newer plastics, with the Psyker and Ogryn stuff made up wholesale for Darktide without any reference to their existence in any other 40k lore.

You have missed the entire point of my post and keep coming back to harp on the same argument against something I’ve never actually said. Would it be nice to be free? Sure. Did I demand it to be free? Not once. Did I say things actually in contrary to what you think I’m asking for? Yeah, many times. Will you ever notice? Probably not.

Yeah I know gamers have this weird fixation that you playing a game is a favor to the devs, but playing the game is supposed to drum up your interest in the cosmetics shop, that’s why you match randomly with other rejects and get to look at up to 15 other players in the Morningstar. I’m not even seeing the replacement revenue stream being suggested, just ‘let gamers earn it by playing because that’s how it should be’ as if that’s transferable 1-1 with job hours or something. That is the most idiotic statement I’ve read today if we’re commenting on intelligence now. Nevermind the refusal to accept Aquilas only (the only option that would guarantee 0 people are unhappy). Just ‘wah let me larp as Krieg for free, you made a trench map so obviously all the legions that do trench fighting should have cosmetics avaliable to unlock’

As I’ve said many times, free would be ideal, but I’m not demanding that. That is not the important part of what I’m asking for.
I would prefer it to be free, obviously, but I do not feel entitled to free. It being free or monetized is not an integral part of my suggestion that I am requesting. I keep repeating this, and you do not seem to understand for whatever reason. The monetization aspect is only important to you fools that keep bickering about it. It really is not that complicated.

I would prefer some kind of lore-friendly system for paid penances rather than receiving the reward immediately, OR SOMETHING ELSE. That’s a key part you keep missing. I don’t have the solution for how to monetize it, I’ve never claimed to. I just want a fun way to earn it, paid or not. You would prefer to swipe your card and receive it immediately. We will never convince each other of each other’s preferences, that’s fine. I don’t know what more you want here.
Like I’ve been repeating, the monetization aspect is not an integral part of this idea for me. I would prefer it to be free, but that is not realistic. I accept that, and it should be up to Fatshark on how they would want to monetize it. I would have more fun if I could earn it in a more memorable way rather than just interacting with a shop menu, even if I had to pay for it in some kind of way.
If they just simply added it to the Commodore’s Vestures, I would be dissapointed that I can’t earn it in a fun way, but I would be glad that the black recolor is at the very least attainable. Half of my idea is better than none of it.

Because the black recolor doesn’t exist and I want it to exist, that’s kinda the whole point. Also, recolors are easier to make than making a whole new set.
there is no “something else”, any system that makes you pay for the ability to unlock achievements is called a battle pass in isolation. you are asking for a battle pass, but you know why that’s a bad idea, so you just pretend it wouldn’t be one
if you want more content than just that, like a whole paid expansion, then well sorry they already said they wouldn’t do it so it’s unlikely
