I noticed that regular meat does too much damage
Aaand in the end Lethal Company won.
Congratulations Zeekerss, you magnificent basterd.
(But with Starfield winning for Most Innovative Gameplay, it definitively confirms that the credibility of the Steam Awards is below zero.)
Starfield?! The game that screams ‘designed by committee’?!
Well looks like Bethesda has bigger clone army of Mayson’s than Fatshark >:)
Starfield The game is too gentle. Even the characters don’t look brutal, don’t change them.
Starfield is a downgrade in every aspect compared to fallout 4 so the fact that piece of crap won the most innovative gameplay award is just baffles me.
Outsanding vissual for atomic heart is expected just by the amount of Commie Dommy Robot Mommy Por[EXPUNGED] floating in the internet…
GOTY was a no brainer…
@FatsharkQuickpaw can you do me a favor and pass a big fat “AHAHAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA” not the dev team but to the management in their face on my behalf ? because Darktide lost against a meme game is foking funny…
To be fair if TD was nominated at the best Soundtracks instead [no vote from me btw in that case too], i would accepted and understand the place on that category, and might be a bit sad if its’ lost… but in everything else? company have no sympathy from me…
Checks user reviews “Mostly negative”
Jup, checks out.
It’s especially insulting since Bethestas formula has been outdated for decades now and it’s never been felt harder than in starfield since it’s the same content spread out over a “galaxy” instead of a country.
It says a lot when the modders don’t have the passion to port finished work to starfield because “the game is trash”…
No man sky better than starfield. I spent a lot of time in this game at the time.
Starfield I played for no more than an hour and deleted it
I, for one, is delighted to see that Darktide didn’t win anything.
Lethal Company won instead, as they should have.
only a rotten person can rejoice in someone else’s sadness. You use their services but you sprinkle maggots
We use there service but not for free, we paid for it, so we should expect some level of competency. If game dev doesnt deliver we, as a customers, should held him accountable. Praising game devs just because gamers though it was cool brough the sad state of gaming we have now: broken at release, waiting for a year to get what was promised on start. Value your money more or be seen as a piggy bank with no voice. Thats the choice we have. I am also happy that they didnt win, altho kinda sad at the same time that DT didnt get reward for music, Jasper deserved it.
It didn’t have to be this way.
You can’t doubt the Emperor
tbh I’d still give undertale the best soundtrack if we could vote for any game no matter the year. DT’s soundtrack is more like background movie music, just there to fill the space. It’s not very memorable or impactful beyond the immediate soundscape, and I thought it was pretty ridiculous that they asked the community to make music videos based on it considering the design of it was intended to fluctuate with the action in the game rather than be an additional character to the experience.
This vid kinda explains it
Yes, I would even like to watch a TV series or a movie based on this game
To be fair, we all voted for it ironically. I’m not even sure how it was a finalist for Most Innovative Gameplay when Darktide wasn’t a finalist for Best Soundtrack.
The safest-played game in a long time. Your only option is to be the good guy, except for two questlines (Crimson Fleet and Ryujin Industries), but your Companion will get always angry at you for doing anything that’s not a 100% clean-cut good guy thing to do, unless you’re chilling with the Adoring Fan, he’s actually a G. You can’t be a villain or an anti-hero at all because “no, that’s not the Constellation way ”
I mean, in the UC Vanguard questline you get to make a decision that slowly and safely benefits all of mankind and Sarah literally has a temper tantrum at you for “not trusting science”, but I won’t get into any spoilers there.
Edit: I did some remembering, and the most “evil” things that I’m capable of doing outside of the Crimson Fleet and Ryujin Industries questlines are… taking bribes and killing random people, but the latter doesn’t actually change the world around me except for the typical NPC hullabaloo, and it only changes my reputation with my current Companion. Being evil in Starfield just isn’t as rewarding as it can be in other RPGs. Also, where are the psychopathic Companions who actually begin to LIKE you when you start doing evil things?
Edits 2 and 3 are grammatical fixes!
Honestly, I don’t think Starfield won with memetic or protest votes, it’s already strange that it ended up among the finalists, and if we really have to talk about memes, I think Contraband Police was more memetic. If Starfield won legitimately, I believe it was thanks to the hordes of casual gamers who only vote for titles they know about thanks to aggressive marketing or streamers.
And perhaps this would also explain the victory of Lethal Company, which unlike Darktide has achieved enormous success among streamers.
If they really wanted it they could have got a lot of us to vote for the low low price of 14k Aquilas
