Darktide is in the 2023 Steam Awards - cast your vote!

If only I could actually play the game during the hours my friends are on without unplayable latency and lag.

Can someone give me the sound of the medical station? I want to put it on the sound of an incoming message on my phone

Doesn’t the vast majority of Russians live in Europe as well?

I wasn’t going to give DT best soundtrack for all the reasons others had above so giving it a steam award sure as sh!t won’t happen either.

Lets be real here, they only want the award to be able to use it as free marketing to drive more players to the FOMO cosmetics shop.

I’m not saying that DT wouldn’t deserve either reward in a bubble…
But I am saying that I will not give any game an award when it will only be used to cover up the rotten underbelly with a golden, rattling keychain to distract from it.

F*ck that on principles alone.

Im pretty sure Eisenfaust speeking of a geology view point… Moscow is closer to Berlin than Beijing

The widely accepted „border“ between Asia and Europe are the Ural Mountains. And the vast majority of the citizens of the Russian federation live west of the Ural Mountains.

im both an xbox and pc player xbox players arent happy with the game either.

I believe Eisenfaust meant European Russia. West of the Urals, specifically.

Edit: He already replied, apologies.

Man, times are strange and rough we all know that. But you need to stop overgeneralizing. I’m a teacher here in Switzerland (you now, the very center of Europe). Our internet is just fine and all the students with Russian origins are doing well too and yes - they do enjoy our cheese. ; )

I just keep noticing in other games that people from Europe often complain about the slow Internet

nah its just us germans.

we have a company who is soley running the grit, and they didn’t invest in glasfiber early and thought they could sqeuze out 30years with a “new” copper cable technology.
just so that we have to retrofit with glasfiber now…

You have a lot of nerve to ask us for support and after just a week show your true face by tripling the price of a premium skin.
Man, I’m really happy I don’t work for a corpo, I cannot imagine the amount of doublethink Fatshark employees have to deal with.

Yeah sure “better with friends” thanks to your horrific launch and pricing for skins NONE of my friends play anymore, so no better with friends for you.

Double thinking and assbackwardnes only in the consumer viewpoint… For the corpos sadly a sound business plan…

Won shitty awards → feed the jurnos with it as “news” → generate hype → redeem it to new customers…

it would be a shame if the disgruntled “early adopters” threw a monkey wrench in it, and blew up “the free hype” plan by simply refusing to cooperate…

Fatshark…

The core of this game is immense fun, the soundtrack is amazing, and the immersion within the 40k universe is unparalleled. I want to vote for you here, really I do, because much of Darktide is spectacular.

However, it’s all painfully undercut by the mobile-gambling mechanism some manager there insists on keeping and not talking about. All your new maps, new weapons, new talents, etc lands with a wet slap when all the progression at 30 stops and the gear grind becomes a frustrating and anger-inducing experience that discourages exploring any of that new content. If all my play rewards for weeks are wasted with nothing to show for it, then all the work everyone else put into this game, all that creative excellence and years of exertion, means squat all when it makes me want to stop playing and spending money.

Your “premium” cosmetics aren’t helping. You’re monetizing this game primarily on the concept of selling people outfits to dress up their e- dolls on trips to virtual warhammerland. Your recent Rogue Trader and Krieg offerings, at substantially increased price over alternatives, have been of abysmal quality as both creative works and in their practical execution (clipping, etc). Rotating some tired reskins every couple weeks isn’t making me want to open the wallet much.

That the commentary in this thread, and many others, goes unabated and unanswered, is an indicator something is wrong and either whoever in charge just isn’t interesting in listening, or straight up isn’t being communicated with. It should be professionally embarrassing to someone there when you’re asking for votes on your own forums and everyone is screaming essentially one coherent message back at you…and it gets completely ignored.

Good game developers would kill for sustained, coherent feedback from the players. Fatshark ignores it.

Yeah it stinks.
The only person in FatShark that seems to care for their customers has to be Julia from the support team.

Once I would have included Catfish in the list, but she appears to have gone increasingly silent… probably due to hitting the wall all CMs do when your bosses don’t want to do the thing the players want.

It’s still my favorite game. Even though I can’t handle more than two or three fights right now, I still want to play.
thanks to the creators of the game. I can’t vote, but at least I’ll thank you here

I still respect Catfish. It’d be quite frustrating spending your day at work listening to all of the sustained, coherent feedback from players - just to have your bosses ignore it.
