Crashing in prologue

I just purchased the game and I’m experiencing random crashing to desktop during prologue with no crash reports on GTX 1660 & i5 9400F. Game installed on SSD, 16gb ram.

Tried:
Disabling ray tracing and setting file to read only
Changing worker threads to 1 and 4
Capping FPS to 30 and 60
Changing resolution to extremely low
Changing all settings to off or low
Disabling character portrait
Updating GPU drivers
Super performance and perfomance on DLSS
Deleted darktide folder in appdata
Verified integrity
No overwolf or geforce experience/overlays
Closed all other programs

Any update? I really want to play but I have to refund the game if it isn’t going to work on my PC :frowning:

Sorry I missed, this, do you have any other console logs you could upload please? Looks like we’re missing some of the data we need in this one.

I would have more but I deleted my Darktide folder halfway through the process of trying to fix it.

Just had a lightbulb moment - I hope I’ve cracked the case with what I’m about to recommend below…:

  1. Remove the GPUDetection.exe in the ‘launcher’ directory:
    Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\launcher
  2. Proceed to launch Darktide as normal, via Steam

Thank you for the update, I deleted the GPUDetection like you recommended. Everything was running smoothly in the tutorial and I progressed further then normal and my game crashed again. Uploading the log again just in case there’s something different

I don’t see anything in the crash_dumps and gpucrashdumps folders.

Hmmm, could you check inside the launcher directory and see if the GPUDetection.exe has reappeared? Sometimes this happens with Steam Cloud saving.

i tried downgrading my drivers and still crashing.

Yes it’s there I’m assuming it’s because I verified the game last night

I refunded the game but I’ll wait for another fix

Could you try deleting the gpu_detection.dll as well, please?

My latest crash log on the 16th is with the gpu_detection.dll deleted.
